Do we need any previous art experience to join the workshop?

No previous artistic experience is required at all! Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We start with basic spray can control and work our way up to more intricate designs. Most university students are surprised by how much they can achieve in just one session. It is all about having a go and enjoying the creative process with your friends.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for students?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high quality protective gear including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. All of our paints are professional grade and we conduct our sessions in well ventilated outdoor spaces or large indoor areas with proper airflow. Our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone picks up a spray can, ensuring everyone has a fun and risk free experience.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the completion of a final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a larger event like a freshers fair, we can adapt the timing to fit your needs. Simply let us know what works best for your university timetable.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything you need to create amazing street art. This includes a wide range of professional spray paint colours, caps for different line widths, protective equipment, and the surfaces we will be painting on. Whether we are using large canvases, mobile walls, or even a designated campus area, you do not need to bring a thing. Just turn up in comfortable clothes and shoes!

Can we create a permanent mural on our campus?

Absolutely! We love it when universities want to create a permanent or semi permanent piece of art. We can facilitate the creation of a large scale mural that reflects your student union values, a specific academic department, or just a cool piece of campus culture. This is a brilliant way to leave a lasting legacy on your campus and foster a sense of community pride.

What is the maximum group size for a university event?

We are very flexible with group sizes. We can host small, intimate workshops for specific student societies or large scale events for hundreds of students during orientation weeks. For very large groups, we bring in additional professional artists from our backup pool to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and guidance. No group is too big or too small for a Graffitifun experience.

How do we book and when do we need to pay?

Booking is easy and stress free. You can request a quote through our website using our cost calculator. We do not require any upfront payment, which makes it easy for university treasurers and event planners to manage their budgets. You simply pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100 percent satisfied with the results. We also have backup artists ready to go to ensure your event never gets cancelled.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick talk about how to use the equipment safely and responsibly.
Mastering the can: Your artist guide shows you how to hold the spray can, how to control the pressure, and how to create different line thicknesses.
Sketching the vision: Students work together or individually to sketch out their designs on paper before moving to the big walls.
Tagging basics: Learn the history of the 'tag' and practice your own unique signature style using professional techniques.
Filling and fading: Discover how to apply bold colours and create smooth gradients or 'fades' that make your art pop.
Outlining and details: This is where the magic happens as we add sharp outlines and highlights to bring the design to life.
Collaborative mural: The whole group comes together to contribute to a final, large scale piece that represents your university spirit.
Photos and final reveals: Capture the moment with group photos in front of your finished masterpiece to share on social media.

Local culture

Cancun is world famous for its white sands, but head into the city centre and you will find a thriving urban art scene that is just as colourful. The local street art movement here is a beautiful mix of Mayan heritage and modern Mexican identity. From the murals in Downtown Cancun to the hidden gems in local neighbourhoods, the city serves as a massive open air gallery. 🌴

Fun Fact: Did you know that Cancun hosts incredible street art initiatives like the 'Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans' project? These massive murals across the city are designed to raise awareness about marine conservation while beautifying the urban landscape. When you join our workshop, you are stepping into a local culture that uses spray paint to tell powerful stories and protect the environment. 🌊

Pricing

We believe in transparent and fair pricing for student organisations and universities. Because every event is unique, our prices depend on your specific group size and the setup you require. Whether you want a one off session for a small club or a massive mural project for the whole student body, we provide excellent value for money. 💸

The best part? No upfront payment is required. You only pay after the workshop is finished and you are totally happy with the results. We also have a pool of backup artists ready to step in, so you never have to worry about a cancellation ruining your event plans.
