Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Safety is our absolute priority for all youth projects. We provide high quality FFP2 or FFP3 respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone safe and clean. Our instructors are professional artists who have extensive experience working with young people. They provide constant supervision and clear safety briefings before any spray can is even shaken. We only use professional grade paint in well ventilated outdoor or large indoor spaces.

Do the participants need to have previous artistic experience?

Not at all. Our youth projects are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding artists. We start with the absolute basics, like how to hold the can and control the pressure. Our instructors provide step by step guidance and handy templates so that every participant feels confident and walks away proud of what they have created. It is all about the process and having a blast!

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

A standard youth project workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, sketching sessions, practice runs, and the final creation of the masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a full day youth event in Leon, we can certainly adapt the duration to fit your needs perfectly. Just let us know your requirements.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art experience. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps for different line widths, protective gear, and the surfaces for painting. We can work on large shared plastic foils, wooden panels, or individual canvases depending on your project goals. You just need to bring your energy and wear some old clothes and shoes just in case!

Where in Leon do these youth graffiti projects take place?

We are very flexible with locations in Leon. We can host the workshop at your youth centre, school grounds, or a public park with the necessary permissions. If you do not have a venue, we can help find a suitable local spot that allows for a creative and safe environment. We love bringing the art directly to the heart of the community where the youth feel most comfortable.

Can we create a permanent mural on a local wall?

Yes, we definitely do. While we love working on temporary surfaces like canvases or plastic sheets, we also specialise in permanent community murals. If your youth group has a specific wall in mind in Leon that needs a splash of colour, we can facilitate a collaborative project where the youth help design and paint a lasting piece of public art for their neighbourhood.

How do I book a workshop for a youth group in Leon?

Organising is easy. You can start by using our online Cost Calculator to get a rough idea, or just send us a request for a quote. We do not require any upfront payment, which makes the booking process stress-free for youth organisations. Our team will coordinate with you to pick a date, discuss the theme of the project, and ensure we have backup artists ready so your event definitely goes ahead.

Inclusive Fun: Everyone can do it! Our artists ensure every child, regardless of ability, creates something amazing. 🎉

Step by step

The Big Welcome: Our professional artists meet the group and introduce the vibrant world of street art and its history.
Design Session: The youth start by sketching their ideas on paper, learning about letter structures and colour combinations.
Safety First: Everyone gets geared up in protective suits and masks while learning the essential safety rules for using spray cans.
Can Control: We move to the wall or canvas to practice basic techniques like dots, lines, and fades to get a feel for the pressure.
Outline and Fill: Participants start bringing their sketches to life by outlining their main shapes and filling them with bold colours.
Adding Character: We teach tricks like 3D shadows, highlights, and "force fields" to make the artwork pop off the surface.
The Final Flourish: The artists add the finishing touches and sharp outlines to ensure the collective masterpiece looks professional.
Group Photo: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo in front of the finished artwork, capturing the pride of the creators!

Local culture

Leon is a city with a deep soul, known globally for its incredible leather craftsmanship, but its urban art scene is rapidly catching up! From the colourful streets of the Barrio de San Juan de Dios to the modern murals popping up near the Poliforum, Leon is becoming a canvas for creative expression. Our youth projects tap into this local energy, giving the younger generation a voice in their city's evolving visual story. We love incorporating local Leon symbols, like the iconic Lion of the Triumphal Arch, into our designs to give the kids a sense of local pride. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Leon is often called the "Leather Capital of the World"? We think the only thing more durable than a pair of Leon leather boots is the pride a teenager feels after completing their first giant graffiti mural! 🦁
