How long does a typical graffiti birthday party last?

Most of our children's birthday workshops in Leon last between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides enough time for a thorough safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We find this duration perfectly balances high energy levels with the attention spans of younger artists, ensuring they stay engaged and excited from the first spray to the final group photo.

What is the minimum age for participants in Leon?

We generally recommend our graffiti parties for children aged 6 and up. For younger groups, we focus more on thick lines and basic shapes, while older kids can tackle more complex shading and lettering. Our professional artists are experts at tailoring their teaching style to the specific age group, making sure everyone feels successful regardless of their previous artistic experience or age.

Is the spray paint safe for children to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks for every child to prevent inhalation of fumes. We also supply protective overalls and gloves to keep clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well ventilated areas, and our instructors are trained to supervise the use of spray cans closely, ensuring a fun and completely safe environment for every guest.

Do the kids get to keep the art they create?

The best part about a Graffitifun party is that every guest gets to take their masterpiece home! We use high quality canvases or boards that can be easily transported once the paint is dry. This serves as a brilliant, unique party bag alternative that double up as cool bedroom decor. We also provide bags or covers to make sure the wet art doesn't mess up your car.

Do the children need to have prior drawing skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our artist will guide the group through every step, starting with basic lines and moving on to more advanced techniques like 'fading' and 'outlining'. We focus on the process and having fun, so every child will walk away with something they are proud of, regardless of their natural drawing ability or artistic background.

Where in Leon can the graffiti workshop take place?

We are very flexible with locations in Leon. We can host the party at your home if you have a suitable garden or driveway, or we can suggest various outdoor public spaces and creative hubs across the city. As long as there is enough space to move and plenty of ventilation, we can bring the graffiti studio to you. We can also arrange indoor venues with specific ventilation setups if needed.

How does your payment process work?

At Graffitifun, we believe in total peace of mind for parents. That is why we do not require any upfront payment when you book. You only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100 percent satisfied with the experience. This keeps things simple and stress free, allowing you to focus on the celebrations rather than worrying about deposits or online transactions.

Zero stress for parents: We bring everything, manage the mess, and keep the kids fully entertained from start to finish.
Complete safety: From FFP3 masks to protective suits, we ensure every child is protected while they play. 💪
Take home art: No need for plastic party bags: every child takes home a high quality canvas they created themselves. 🏆
Professional artists: Our team consists of real street artists who are passionate about sharing their skills with the next generation.
Inclusive fun: Whether they are "artistic" or not, every child finds success and joy in the bold, vibrant world of spray paint.
No upfront cost: Booking is risk free because you only pay once the workshop is finished and your child is beaming with pride.

Step by step

Arrival and gear up: Our team arrives at your Leon location and sets up the workspace with protective floor coverings. We suit up every child in professional overalls, gloves, and masks.
The artist intro: A professional graffiti artist introduces the history of street art and explains the tools of the trade in a fun, high energy way.
Safety first: We conduct a quick but thorough briefing on how to handle spray cans safely and respectfully.
Practice session: Kids start by spraying on practice walls to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the paint. They learn how to make dots, lines, and simple shapes.
Design phase: Each child chooses their colours and sketches out their main idea on their individual canvas or board.
Masterpiece creation: The real work begins! Under the guidance of our artist, the kids apply their new skills to create a vibrant, multi layered piece of art.
The finishing touches: Our pro artist helps with 'cutting in' and final outlines to make sure every piece looks sharp and professional.
Signature and tagging: Every guest creates their own unique 'tag' or signature to claim their work, just like a real street artist.
Photo op and clean up: We take a big group photo with all the finished artworks before packing up and leaving the area exactly as we found it.

Local culture

Leon is a city with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, from its famous leather markets to its growing contemporary art scene. While many people know the city for its beautiful cathedral and the International Balloon Festival, the street art culture in Leon is quietly exploding with talent. You can find stunning murals tucked away in the Barrio de San Juan de Dios or lining the bustling streets near the Poliforum. Our workshops connect kids to this modern urban culture, teaching them that art isn't just something found in a museum, it is a living, breathing part of Leon's identity. 🦁

Fun fact: Leon is home to several massive street art festivals where international artists transform entire building blocks into colourful stories!
