Do I need to be good at drawing to join?

You do not need any artistic experience at all to enjoy our Leon graffiti workshops. Our professional instructors are experts at breaking down complex street art techniques into simple, manageable steps. Whether you have never held a spray can before or you are a seasoned doodler, we guide you through everything from basic lines to advanced shading. It is all about having a blast and expressing your unique personality through colour and design.

How long does the workshop session last?

Our cultural graffiti events in Leon typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of your masterpiece. If you are planning a larger festival or a corporate event, we can adjust the schedule to fit your specific needs. We always ensure there is plenty of time for everyone to finish their work and snap some photos.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority while we explore the world of street art. We provide high quality FFP2 masks to protect you from fumes, as well as gloves and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and safety standards. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure everyone handles the equipment correctly and stays safe while having fun.

What should I wear to the graffiti event?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business and stray drops of paint can happen. It is best to leave your favourite designer gear at home and opt for something practical so you can focus entirely on your creativity without worrying about your outfit.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Weather in Leon is usually great, but if it rains, we have you covered. Most of our workshops can be moved to covered outdoor areas or indoor spaces with proper ventilation. Because we have multiple backup artists and flexible location options, we rarely have to cancel. We will communicate with you leading up to the event to ensure everything goes smoothly regardless of the weather forecast.

Can we choose our own theme or design?

Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your own ideas, logos, or themes. If you are hosting a cultural event or a brand activation, our artists can help you incorporate specific symbols or messages into the workshop. You can even use our online Tag Creator before the event to experiment with different styles and get a head start on your design. We love seeing the unique visions our participants bring to the table.

Local culture

Leon is world famous for its leather craftsmanship, but the city streets are increasingly becoming a gallery for incredible contemporary murals. From the colourful corridors of the Coecillo neighbourhood to the urban art displays near the Malecón del Río, Leon has a growing appetite for visual expression. Our workshops tap into this local energy, connecting the city's traditional artisan spirit with the raw, modern power of graffiti.

Fun fact: Leon is home to several urban art festivals where local artists transform grey walls into vibrant stories of Mexican identity and pop culture. By joining our workshop, you are stepping directly into this thriving creative movement! 🎨
