Is the workshop safe for my children?

Absolutely. Safety is our main concern when working with kids in Leon. We provide high quality face masks, protective gloves, and aprons to keep everyone clean and safe. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups and ensure the spray cans are used correctly. We choose locations with good ventilation, and we always use professional grade paint that is safe when handled with our provided gear. Your children are in great hands with us.

Do the kids need any previous art experience?

No artistic experience is needed at all. Our school holiday workshops in Leon are designed for complete beginners. Our expert artists will guide the kids through every single step, from holding the can to creating complex shapes. Most participants have never touched a spray can before they arrive, but they always leave with a piece of art they are incredibly proud of. It is all about having fun and learning something new.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting a bit of paint on. While we do provide protective aprons and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy, and spray paint is notoriously difficult to get out of fabric. It is better to be safe and dress in something comfortable that has already seen better days. That way, the kids can focus entirely on their creativity.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard school holiday workshop session in Leon typically lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides enough time for the introductory talk, the practice session on the practice walls, and the final creation of their own masterpiece. We find this duration is perfect for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp without the kids getting tired. We can also adjust the timing for larger holiday groups if needed.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything required for a fantastic street art experience. This includes a wide range of colourful spray paint cans, high quality masks, gloves, and protective gear. We also provide the canvas or wall space for the kids to work on. You do not need to bring a single thing except your enthusiasm and perhaps a bottle of water. We take care of all the setup and the cleanup afterwards.

Can you bring the workshop to our school or community centre?

Yes, we can definitely host the workshop at your specific location in Leon if you have a suitable outdoor space or a very well ventilated indoor area. If you do not have a venue, don’t worry at all. We have various cool spots around Leon where we regularly host our creative sessions. Just let us know your preference when you get in touch, and we will make it happen.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

Leon can get quite sunny, so we usually work in shaded areas or have backup indoor locations available. If the weather is really a problem, we have a team of backup artists and flexible scheduling to ensure the workshop still goes ahead or is moved to a safer time. We never want to cancel the fun, so we always have a plan B ready to go for your peace of mind.
