Is the workshop safe for people with sensory sensitivities?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low solvent, water based spray paints whenever possible to reduce fumes and provide high quality masks and gloves for every participant. Our artist instructors are trained to monitor the group constantly, ensuring that everyone uses the equipment correctly while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We also choose workshop locations in Leon that offer plenty of ventilation and space to move around safely.

Are your graffiti workshops wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely. We believe that art is for everyone, regardless of physical ability. Our Leon venues are selected for their accessibility, and we can set up canvases at various heights to accommodate wheelchair users. Our instructors are patient and happy to provide one on one assistance, ensuring that every participant can fully engage with the spray cans and express their creativity without any physical barriers.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all. This workshop is specifically designed for beginners and individuals with special needs. Our professional artists lead the group through every single step, from holding the can to creating simple shapes. We focus on the joy of the process rather than technical perfection. Everyone will leave the session feeling like a true street artist, regardless of their prior experience with a paintbrush or spray can.

What should participants wear to the session?

We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide protective ponchos and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business! It is all part of the fun, but it is best to be prepared. We also suggest comfortable footwear since participants will be moving around their canvases to catch those perfect angles and drips.

How long does the graffiti experience last?

A standard special needs workshop in Leon typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This duration is usually perfect for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible. If your group requires a shorter session with more breaks or a longer, more detailed deep dive into street art techniques, just let us know and we will tailor the schedule to fit your specific needs.

Do we have to pay everything upfront?

We certainly do. After the workshop, you do not have to worry about immediate logistics. We offer a pay after the workshop service because we are confident you will love the experience. This allows you to focus entirely on the creative process and the smiles on your participants faces. Our goal is to make the booking and payment process as stress free as possible for organisers in Leon.

How do you handle different learning speeds or communication needs?

Our team is highly experienced in working with diverse groups. We use clear, simple instructions and visual demonstrations to help everyone follow along. We also encourage a high degree of creative freedom, meaning there are no wrong moves in graffiti. Our artists are patient, encouraging, and experts at adapting their teaching style on the fly to meet the unique communication and learning styles of every individual in the group.

Local culture

Leon is a city with a soul as vibrant as its famous leather markets, and its street art scene is no different. From the bustling streets of the Zona Piel to the historic charm of the Barrio de San Juan de Dios, you can find splashes of colour that tell the story of the city. Our workshops tap into this local energy, giving participants a chance to contribute to the creative spirit that makes Leon so special. We love incorporating local motifs or colours that reflect the pride of Guanajuato into our sessions. ✨

Fun fact: Did you know that Leon is often called the Shoe Capital of the World? While the city is famous for its leather craftsmanship, we like to think its growing mural culture is just as impressive as its cobbling history! 🎨
