How long does a typical Monterrey graffiti workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop in Monterrey usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping kids engaged without them losing focus. We spend the first part on safety and techniques, and the rest is pure painting. We can adjust the timing to fit into your specific school timetable if needed.

Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high quality masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our spray paints are water based or low pressure whenever possible to ensure a safe environment. Additionally, our professional artists are trained to manage large groups of children safely while maintaining a fun and creative atmosphere.

Do we need to pay for the workshop in advance?

Not at all! You do not need to pay anything upfront to secure your booking in Monterrey. We believe in our service so much that we offer a pay after the workshop policy. This makes it much easier for school administration departments to process the paperwork and ensures you are 100% happy with the experience.

What kind of space do we need at our school?

We can host the workshop right on your school grounds in Monterrey! All we need is an outdoor space with good ventilation, like a playground or a sports field. If you do not have a suitable wall, we can bring large plastic foils or wooden panels to create a temporary canvas for the kids to spray on.

How many students can participate in one session?

We recommend a maximum of 15 to 20 students per instructor to ensure everyone gets enough attention and staying safe. For larger year groups in Monterrey, we simply bring more professional artists or rotate groups throughout the day. This ensures every child gets a hands on experience with the spray cans.

What will the students actually learn during the session?

The students will learn the basics of street art history, how to handle a spray can correctly, and various techniques like fading, outlining, and filling. Most importantly, they learn about collaboration and how to express their identity through art. It is a fantastic boost for their confidence and fine motor skills.

Step by step

The day begins with a high energy introduction where our artists share the history of street art and show off some cool techniques to get the kids excited.
Safety first! Every student is fitted with protective gear, including gloves and masks, to ensure a clean and safe creative environment.
Before touching the cans, the kids spend a few minutes sketching their ideas on paper, planning their tags or characters under our expert guidance.
Our artists demonstrate how to control the spray can, explaining the importance of distance, pressure, and movement to create different effects.
It is time to paint! The students start by practising basic lines and shapes on their designated workspace to get a feel for the medium.
The class works together or in small groups to fill in their designs, layering colours and adding those iconic graffiti details like highlights and shadows.
In the final stage, students add outlines to make their artwork pop, creating a professional look that they can be truly proud of.
We finish with a group gallery walk where everyone can admire the collective masterpiece and take plenty of photos for the school newsletter.
Our team handles the entire pack down, leaving your Monterrey school grounds exactly as we found them, just with more colourful memories!
