Is the spray paint safe for primary school children?

Safety is our absolute top priority. We use low-odour spray paint that is safer for young lungs and the environment. Every student is provided with a high-quality face mask, protective gloves, and a full body poncho to keep their school uniforms clean. Our instructors are trained to manage groups of children safely and we always maintain a tidy workspace to prevent any accidents during the creative process.

Do we need to travel to a studio or do you come to us?

We are completely flexible! We can bring our mobile setup to your school playground or sports field using our professional wooden canvases or biodegradable plastic walls. If you prefer to get away from the school site, we can often arrange for the workshop to take place at a legal street art location in Ciudad Juarez, giving the children a truly authentic urban art experience in a controlled environment.

Do the students need any previous art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional graffiti artists break down the process into very simple, easy to follow steps that any primary school student can master. We focus on building confidence and having fun rather than technical perfection. You will be amazed at how quickly the kids go from simple sketches to creating a vibrant, colourful masterpiece.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard primary school workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides enough time for a safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final group mural. We can adjust the timing to fit into your specific school timetable, whether you want a quick morning session or a full afternoon of creative exploration.

What should the students wear on the day?

We recommend old clothes and comfortable shoes just in case, but we do provide full protective gear. Every student gets a poncho and gloves to cover up. While our paints are professional grade, they are much easier to manage with the right gear. We find that the kids love putting on the gear as it makes them feel like real professional artists ready to work.

Can the children work together on a single big project?

Absolutely! One of our most popular options is creating a collaborative mural where every student contributes a piece to a large design. This is a fantastic way to celebrate school values, a specific educational theme, or just to create a lasting memory of their school year. The final artwork can often be displayed in the school hallways or playground for everyone to enjoy for years to come.

How do we handle the booking and payment? 🎨

Booking is easy and stress-free with Graffitifun. You can request a quote through our website and we will get back to you with a transparent price based on your group size. The best part is that no upfront payment is required. You only pay after the workshop is finished and you are 100% happy with the results. We even have backup artists ready to ensure your event never gets cancelled.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your primary school? It is more than just making a mess: it is about building confidence through a medium that kids actually find cool! Here is why schools in Juarez love working with us:

Boosts Creativity: Graffiti breaks the rules of traditional art, allowing kids who might struggle with a paintbrush to find their voice through a spray can. 💡
Team Building: Working on a large mural teaches coordination, communication, and the value of contributing to a shared goal.
Inclusive Fun: Our workshops are designed so that every child, regardless of artistic ability, can produce something they are proud of. 🌈
Professional Mentorship: Students get to work with real artists who share their passion and professional tips, inspiring a new generation of creatives.
Safe and Tidy: We handle all the protective gear and site prep, leaving your school just as clean as we found it, but with a lot more colour! 🧼
Guaranteed Success: With our backup artist policy and years of experience, we ensure your event goes off without a hitch.

Step by step

Intro and safety talk: We start with a high energy introduction to the world of street art and a vital safety briefing so everyone knows how to use the equipment properly. 🔥
The art of the tag: Students learn how to design their own unique signature or tag, focusing on letter structure and personal style on paper first.
First sprays: After putting on their gear, the kids get to feel the pressure of the can and practice making basic lines and dots on the practice wall.
Colour blending: Our artists demonstrate how to mix colours and create cool fading effects that make graffiti pop off the surface.
Outlining and highlights: We teach the secret of the "power line" and how adding small white highlights can make any piece look professional.
Masterpiece creation: The class works on their final individual canvas or joins forces for a massive collaborative school mural. 🎨
Final touches: Our pro artists go around helping students add those sharp final details that make their work really stand out.
Photos and celebration: We wrap up with a group photo session in front of the artwork so the kids can show off their incredible creations! 🏆

Good to know

We make sure every detail is covered so you can relax and watch the kids have a blast. Here is what you can expect from a Graffitifun workshop:

Duration: Typically 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customise this to fit your school bells.
Group Sizes: We cater to everything from a single class to a whole year group. We bring enough artists to keep the ratio safe and engaging.
Gear Included: We provide all premium spray paint, protective masks, gloves, ponchos, and high quality canvases or boards. 🛡️
Safety: Our artists are highly experienced in working with children and follow strict safety protocols at all times.
Clean up: We are pros at keeping the environment tidy. We use floor protection and ensure no stray paint ends up where it shouldn't!

Local culture

Ciudad Juarez has a deep and colourful history when it comes to public art. From the iconic murals that decorate the downtown buildings to the modern street art popping up in areas like PRONAF, this city knows the power of a spray can. By bringing a graffiti workshop to your primary school, you are connecting your students with a local culture of resilience and expression that defines "La Juaritos." ⚡️

Fun Fact: Did you know that Ciudad Juarez is home to some of the largest urban art projects in northern Mexico? Many local artists use these walls to tell stories of the community, and now your students can learn the very same techniques used by the pros who decorate our city streets! 🎤

Pricing

We believe every school project is unique, so we tailor our costs to your specific needs. Prices depend on the size of the group, the duration of the session, and the materials required (like individual canvases for every child to take home). 🎨

No upfront payment: We are so confident you will love the experience that you only pay after the workshop is complete!
