Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the training?

No previous experience with spray paint is required! Our professional development sessions are designed to take you from a complete novice to a confident instructor. We guide you through the basics of can control and safety before moving into advanced artistic techniques. The goal is to give you the skills and the pedagogical framework to teach graffiti to your own students, regardless of your starting point.

What safety equipment is provided during the workshop?

We take safety very seriously. All participants are provided with high-quality FFP3 masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide a comprehensive safety briefing that you can replicate in your own classroom. Our artists teach you the correct way to handle aerosols and how to manage a group of students in an outdoor or ventilated setting safely.

Are there teaching resources included for my future classes?

Yes, we provide all participants with a digital toolkit after the session. This includes lesson plan templates, a glossary of street art terms, and technical guides on spray paint brands and nozzle types. We want to ensure that when you return to your school or community centre, you have all the resources necessary to lead a successful and engaging graffiti project.

How long does the teacher training session last?

The training usually lasts between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the depth of the curriculum you choose. We can compress the sessions into an intensive morning or spread them out over a full day of creative immersion. We are flexible and can work around your school schedule or professional development days to make sure it fits perfectly into your calendar.

What should I wear or bring to the training?

While we provide all the professional-grade spray paint and safety gear, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. Since Vina del Mar can be sunny, bringing a hat and sunscreen is also a great idea for our outdoor sessions. We provide the rest, so you can just focus on the creativity!

Can the training take place at my school or venue?

Absolutely! We can host the training at one of our vibrant local spots in Vina del Mar, or our mobile team can come directly to your school or cultural institution. Having the training on-site allows us to evaluate your specific space and provide tailored advice on where and how to set up a safe 'graffiti zone' for your students.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Vina del Mar is a beautiful coastal city, but we always have a plan B! If the weather looks like it won't cooperate, we usually have access to covered outdoor areas or ventilated indoor spaces. We also have a dedicated team of backup artists, so your professional development day will go ahead as planned, rain or shine. Fun and learning never stop!

Mastering Can Control: Get hands-on with the cans! You'll practice lines, dots, and fades to understand the physical mechanics of the medium.
Lettering and Styles: Our artists teach you how to construct 'pieces', from simple 2D tags to more complex 3D block letters.
Stencil and Detail Work: Explore advanced techniques like stencilling and detailing that allow students of all skill levels to achieve great results.
Collaborative Mural Project: Work together on a large-scale piece to understand the dynamics of group projects and mural planning.

Local culture

Vina del Mar isn't just about the beautiful beaches and the iconic Flower Clock; it's a city with a growing appreciation for urban expression. While neighbouring Valparaiso is world-famous for its hills covered in murals, Vina has its own unique vibe, blending coastal elegance with modern street interventions. Our workshops often take place in inspiring locations that capture this breezy, creative atmosphere. 🌊

Fun Fact: Did you know that many street artists who paint the massive murals in Valparaiso actually live and find inspiration in the quieter, leafier streets of Vina del Mar? It’s the perfect place to learn the craft in a relaxed environment before taking those skills to the big walls!

Pricing

Our professional development sessions are competitively priced to ensure every school in the region can access high-quality art training. Rates generally range between $20,000 and $45,000 CLP per person.

Please note that final pricing depends on the number of participants, the duration of the session, and whether we are providing extra materials like individual canvases for you to keep. We love supporting local educators, so we always aim to find a solution that fits your budget! 🏆
