Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional artists are trained to supervise youth groups, ensuring that the spray cans are used correctly and responsibly. We only use low-odour, high-quality paints that meet safety standards, making it a secure environment for everyone to express their creativity.

How long does a typical youth workshop last?

Our youth project workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic techniques on plastic film or boards, and then complete a final large-scale masterpiece. We find this duration is perfect for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp without the participants getting tired.

What materials do we need to provide?

You don't need to bring a thing! Graffitifun provides everything required for a successful session, including a wide array of colourful spray cans, caps, protective clothing, and the 'canvas' (which could be a wall, boards, or even a community space). Just make sure the participants wear comfortable clothes and shoes that they don't mind getting a little dusty!

Do the participants need any prior drawing skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to those who are already quite artistic. Our instructors are masters at breaking down complex styles into simple steps. We focus on the 'fun' element, ensuring every participant walks away with a piece of art they are proud of, regardless of their previous experience.

Where in Vina del Mar do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host workshops at various outdoor locations in Vina del Mar, or we can come to your youth centre, school, or community park. We use mobile 'graffiti walls' (cellophane stretched between poles) if a permanent wall isn't available, meaning we can bring the street art experience almost anywhere without leaving a permanent mark.

What is the ideal group size for a youth project?

We generally recommend a minimum group size of 10 people to get the best atmosphere, but we can accommodate much larger groups of up to 100+ by bringing in extra professional artists. This ensures that every sub-group gets plenty of 1-on-1 coaching and attention while working on their shared project.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is simple! You can use our online Cost Calculator to get an instant estimate, or just send us a message through our contact form. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the result. We also have backup artists ready to go, so your event is guaranteed.

The experience

Boost Confidence: Seeing a massive mural come to life from their own hands gives youths an incredible sense of achievement. 💪
Team Building: Our projects require communication and coordination, helping groups bond in a way that traditional activities can't match. 🤝
Zero Risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.
Legal & Safe Expression: we provide a structured environment to learn graffiti as a respected art form, discourage tagging on illegal surfaces.
All-Inclusive: From the first cap to the last drop of paint, we provide everything—no hidden costs or extra errands for you! 🏆
Expert Mentorship: Participants learn directly from active, professional street artists who live and breathe the culture.

Step by step

Introduction & safety: We start with a warm welcome and a quick briefing on how to use the equipment safely and respectfully. 🛡️
Concept sketching: Youths jump straight into brainstorming, sketching out their ideas and 'tags' on paper to plan their masterpiece.
Technique training: Our pros demonstrate essential spray can techniques, from 'fat caps' for filling to 'skinny caps' for sharp outlines.
Practice session: Everyone gets a chance to test their skills on a practice surface, getting a feel for the pressure and distance of the can. 🎨
The main event: The group moves to the main wall or canvas to start layering the colours and bringing the collective vision to life.
Adding the details: This is where the magic happens! We add shadows, highlights, and 3D effects to make the artwork pop. 🔥
Final signatures: Every participant adds their unique 'tag' to the piece, claiming their part in the creative process.
Photos & cleanup: We wrap up with a group photoshoot in front of the mural and ensure the area is left spotless. 📸

Local culture

Vina del Mar is more than just stunning beaches and the famous Clock of Flowers; it's a city pulsating with coastal energy and artistic potential. While our neighbours in Valparaiso are world-renowned for their hills covered in murals, Vina has its own unique, polished street style that reflects its status as Chile's premiere seaside destination. We love bringing our workshops to the squares and community centres of Vina, drawing inspiration from the Pacific breeze and the city's lush greenery.

Fun Fact: Did you know that the word 'Graffiti' comes from the Italian word 'graffiato', meaning 'scratched'? In Vina, we prefer 'sprayed' than 'scratched', turning blank spaces into colourful landmarks! 🇨🇱

Pricing
