Is the graffiti workshop safe for school students?

Safety is our top priority! We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks to ensure students don't breathe in any fumes. We also supply protective overalls and gloves to keep school uniforms clean. Our instructors are professional artists trained in group management, ensuring that the spray cans are used responsibly and only on the designated surfaces. We make sure the environment is controlled, ventilated, and completely safe for everyone involved.

Can we link the workshop to a specific school subject?

Absolutely! While we love for students to explore their own creativity, we can easily tailor the workshop to fit your current curriculum. Whether you are studying Latvian history, environmental protection, or specific art movements, we can design a mural project that reflects those themes. This makes the workshop not just a fun day out, but a practical, hands-on educational tool that reinforces what they learn in the classroom.

Do we need to travel to a specific studio in Liepaja?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises if you have a suitable outdoor wall or a well-ventilated space. Alternatively, we can arrange a session at an inspiring local spot in Liepaja or use mobile canvases that we bring to you. If your school is planning a trip to Riga or Jelgava, we can also facilitate workshops in those locations to suit your itinerary.

What if the students have no previous art experience?

No prior artistic skill is needed at all! Our workshops are designed for all levels, from the 'I can't even draw a stickman' student to the budding Picasso. Our artists guide the group through basic techniques first, building their confidence before they start on the main piece. It is often the students who think they aren't 'artsy' who end up surprising themselves the most with what they can create.

What is the recommended age for participants?

Generally, our school workshops are best suited for students aged 10 and up, as the spray cans require a certain amount of hand strength and coordination. However, for younger primary school groups, we can adapt the session using markers or water-based alternatives. For secondary school and college students in Liepaja, the standard spray-paint workshop is always a massive hit and perfectly age-appropriate.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

Our school workshops typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a safety briefing, an introduction to street art history, technique practice, and the creation of a final collaborative mural. We can adjust the timing to fit into your school's double-period slots or make it a full-day 'art immersion' event if you are looking for something more intensive for your students.

How do we handle payments and what if we need to cancel?

We want your booking process to be as stress-free as possible. There is no upfront payment required to secure your date; you can pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. We offer transparent pricing between €18 and €38 per student, depending on the group size. Plus, we have backup artists ready to go, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation ruining your school's planned activity.

Step by step

Intro & Street Art History: We kick things off with a high-energy intro about the roots of graffiti and its evolution into modern street art.
Safety First: Students suit up in protective gear and learn how to use the equipment responsibly and safely.
Mastering the Can: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—teaching students how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the Vision: Pupils work together or individually to sketch out their ideas on paper before hitting the wall.
First Strokes: Time to shake the cans! Students start applying their base colours under the watchful eye of our pros.
Adding the Details: This is where the magic happens—adding outlines, 3D effects, and highlights to make the art pop.
The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the finished collaborative mural and take group photos of the masterpiece.
Clean Up & Reflection: A quick tidy-up followed by a chat about what the students learned and how they felt about the creative process.
