Is the graffiti workshop safe for school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority for every school session in Daugavpils. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional FFP3 respiratory masks to ensure students are completely shielded from paint and fumes. Our instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We also use low-odour, high-quality paints that are safer for both the participants and the environment.

Where in Daugavpils do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises in Daugavpils—either outdoors against a wall or mobile boards, or in a well-ventilated indoor space. If you'd prefer to get away from the classroom, we can arrange a session at one of the local legal graffiti zones or a dedicated creative studio. We'll handle the setup and cleanup regardless of the location.

How does this workshop benefit the school curriculum?

Graffiti is a fantastic 'level-up' for the curriculum! It aligns perfectly with Art and Design by teaching colour theory and composition. It also supports History (evolution of street art), Social Studies (community and public space), and even PE through physical movement. Beyond academics, it’s a brilliant way to boost student confidence, encourage teamwork, and provide a healthy outlet for self-expression.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

Our school workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for a juicy introduction to graffiti history, a hands-on practice session to master the cans, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We can easily adapt the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period blocks without any fuss.

Do students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our Daugavpils workshops are designed for all skill levels. Whether a student is a natural-born illustrator or someone who has never held a paintbrush, our professional artists guide them step-by-step. We focus on technique and "creative flow" rather than perfection, ensuring that every single student walks away feeling proud of what they’ve created.

What are the costs for a school graffiti workshop?

We understand that school budgets and group sizes vary. Our prices typically range from €18 to €38 per student, depending on the number of participants and the specific materials required. We offer special rates for larger year groups. Since every school has different needs, we recommend requesting a custom quote so we can give you the best possible price.

How do we book a session for our school?

The booking process is super simple. First, use our online Cost Calculator to get a rough idea of the price. Then, send us an inquiry with your preferred dates and group size. We’ll confirm the details and assign a backup artist to ensure your event goes ahead no matter what. Best of all, there’s no upfront payment required—you only pay after the workshop!

Safe & professional: We use top-tier protective equipment and expert instructors who know how to manage a classroom.
Curriculum friendly: We can tailor our sessions to cover specific themes, from environmental issues to local Daugavpils history.
Mess-free for you: We handle all the setup and the cleanup. You just bring the students; we bring the magic!
Reliability guaranteed: With our backup artist system, you never have to worry about a "no-show" ruining your event.

Step by step

Introduction & history: We kick things off with a high-energy talk about the roots of graffiti culture and how it evolved from street tags to global gallery art.
Safety first: Every student gets geared up in protective suits, masks, and gloves. We explain the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely.
Sketching the vision: Students grab paper and pencils to brainstorm their ideas, learning how to structure letters and choose vibrant colour palettes.
Can control basics: Our pros demonstrate essential techniques—how to hold the can, adjust pressure, and create different line widths like a boss.
The practice wall: Pupils start with 'free-styling' on a practice surface to get a feel for the paint flow and build their confidence.
Creating the masterpiece: Now the real magic happens! Students work on their individual canvases or a large communal mural, applying their new skills.
Adding the details: We teach how to add shines, shadows, and outlines to make the artwork pop and look truly professional.
Group gallery & wrap-up: We finish with a 'gallery walk' where students present their work, followed by a quick cleanup and some epic group photos! 📸

Local culture

Daugavpils has a unique creative pulse, blending its historic fortress charm with a growing modern art scene, famously anchored by the Mark Rothko Art Centre. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to contribute to the city's evolving visual landscape. Whether we're drawing inspiration from the brickwork of the Fortress or the sunset over the Daugava River, we help students see their city as a canvas for positive expression. 🎨

Fun fact: Daugavpils is the birthplace of the world-renowned abstract expressionist Mark Rothko. While he explored deep emotions through colour fields, we explore them through the vibrant energy of street art! 🏆

Pricing
