Do I need previous graffiti experience to join the training?

Absolutely! No prior experience with a spray can is necessary. Our professional artists break down the basics of can control, nozzle types, and safety before moving into artistic techniques. This training is designed to take you from a complete novice to a confident instructor who can manage a classroom of excited students safely and effectively. We focus on 'learning by doing' so you feel the spray paint magic yourself first! 🎨

What safety equipment is provided and taught?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every participant. During the training, we teach you how to set up a safe workspace for your students, including ventilation requirements and proper storage of flammable materials. You'll leave the session with a comprehensive safety checklist that you can implement in your own Daugavpils classroom immediately. 🛡️

What if my school doesn't have a legal wall for graffiti?

While we love using permanent walls, we also teach you how to use mobile 'stretch-wrap' walls and large-scale canvases. These techniques allow you to bring graffiti into a standard school gym or playground without making permanent changes to the building. We'll show you exactly how to set up these temporary surfaces so you can host workshops anywhere in Daugavpils or beyond! 🏗️

How does this professional development help my teaching skills?

We don't just teach you how to paint; we show you how to lead. The training covers group dynamics, time management for 90-minute sessions, and how to encourage students who might feel intimidated by a blank wall. You'll learn our 'Graffitifun Method' for guiding a large group from a rough sketch to a polished final mural that everyone is proud of. 🎤

How long does the teacher training session last?

Our standard PD sessions for teachers in Daugavpils usually run between 2 and 4 hours. However, we can also offer full-day intensives if you want to dive deeper into the history of street art and advanced mural techniques. We are flexible and can work around your school's schedule or professional development days. Just let us know what works best for your faculty! ⏱️

Are the materials included in the price?

Everything is included! We provide the spray cans (pro-grade low pressure for better control), caps/nozzles, protective gear, sketching materials, and the painting surface. You literally just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dusty. We handle the setup and the cleanup so you can focus entirely on your professional growth. ✨

Is there an upfront payment required for the booking?

We believe in a 'try before you buy' approach to high-energy education! You don't need to pay anything upfront when booking. You can settle the invoice after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the training. This makes it much easier for schools and institutions to manage their budgets without any financial risk. 💳

Local culture

Daugavpils has a unique aesthetic, blending its historic fortress architecture with a burgeoning modern arts scene. By bringing graffiti training to your school or local centre, you're tapping into a global culture that resonates deeply with the youth in the Latgale region. From the inspiration of the Mark Rothko Art Centre to the gritty, industrial charm of the local streets, there is no better place to learn how to bridge the gap between classic art and modern expression.

Fun Fact: Daugavpils is the birthplace of the legendary Mark Rothko. While he's known for abstract expressionism, the bold use of colour in his work actually shares a lot of DNA with modern graffiti murals!

Looking for inspiration in other Latvian cities? We also offer training and workshops in Riga, Liepāja, Jelgava, and Jūrmala.
