Do we need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! Most university students in Liepaja have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the can to mastering pressure control. We create a relaxed, judgment-free zone where the goal is to experiment and have a blast. You'll be surprised at how quickly you'll go from a complete novice to creating something you're genuinely proud of!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for students?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specialized indoor spaces. Plus, our artists are trained to supervise the session closely, ensuring everyone uses the equipment correctly and stays safe throughout the entire creative process.

Where in Liepaja do the workshops take place?

We’re flexible! For university groups in Liepaja, we can host the session at a local street art hotspot, or we can bring the entire setup to your campus if you have a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated hall. We provide all the mobile walls and protective floor coverings needed to ensure we leave the campus exactly as we found it—minus the boring vibes!

How long does a typical session last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a final large-scale piece. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window between lectures, just let us know! We can easily tailor the duration to fit your society's needs or event timeline.

What materials are included in the price?

We provide everything you need to become a street art pro for the day. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps for different line thicknesses, overalls, gloves, masks, and surface materials (like professional film or wooden panels). You just need to show up in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a bit dusty, and bring plenty of energy!

What happens if it rains on the day?

Weather in Liepaja can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If the forecast looks rainy, we can either move the workshop to an indoor location, use a covered outdoor area, or reschedule to a better day. We always have backup plans in place so that your university event goes off without a hitch, regardless of the Baltic breeze!

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is simple and risk-free. You can use our online cost calculator to get an instant estimate, then send us an enquiry. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is complete and you’re 100% satisfied with the experience. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event is never cancelled at the last minute.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event? It’s more than just painting on walls—it’s about teamwork, confidence, and pure creative freedom. Here’s why students in Liepaja love our sessions:

Ultimate stressbuster: Swap the textbooks for spray cans and let all that exam tension melt away. 🧘‍♂️
Perfect for all skills: You don't need to be an art major; we show you the tricks to make anything look professional. ✨
Epic social media content: Your final mural and the "behind-the-scenes" shots will look incredible on your society's feed. 📸
Professional vibes: Learn from real artists who live and breathe street culture. No "teacher-student" vibes here, just collaboration. 🤝
No-risk booking: With no upfront payment and backup artists ready to go, your event is in safe hands. 🛡️

Looking for something different? We also offer sessions for schools, festivals, bachelor parties, brand activations, company events, and kids' parties.

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: Meet your pro artist and get kitted out in your protective gear. We’ll cover the dos and don’ts of spray painting so everyone feels confident.
Mastering the nozzle: Start with the basics. You’ll learn how to control line thickness, fades, and dots by adjusting your hand speed and distance from the wall.
Tagging and lettering: Every artist needs a signature. We’ll help you develop your own tag or "piece" style, focusing on flow and letter structure.
Sketching the concept: Grab the chalk! You’ll sketch out the main outlines of your group masterpiece on the canvas or wall before the paint starts flying.
Filling in the colours: Now for the fun part. Start filling in your designs with vibrant colours, learning how to blend and shade like a seasoned pro.
Outlining and details: Add those sharp "power lines" and highlights that make the artwork pop. This is where the magic really happens.
Group final touch: We’ll step back, look at the collective mural, and add any final flourishes to ensure the whole piece looks cohesive and epic.
Photos and cleanup: Strike a pose with your creation! Once the photo op is over, we handle all the cleanup so you can head off to the student union.

Local culture

Liepaja isn't just a seaside town; it's a hub of creative energy and raw, industrial beauty. From the historic archives of Karosta to the modern beats of Great Amber, this city breathes art. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, drawing inspiration from the salt-sprayed walls and the vibrant music scene that defines Liepaja. We love bringing street art to the student community here, adding a splash of colour to the lives of those studying in Latvia’s most soulful city.

Fun Fact: Liepaja is known as the "City of Wind," and while we love the breeze, we’ve mastered the art of spray painting even when the Baltic gusts start blowing!

While we’re experts in Liepaja, we also host incredible workshops in other Latvian cities like Riga, Daugavpils, Jelgava, and Jurmala. No matter where you are in the country, the Graffitifun crew is ready to roll.
