Do I need any previous art experience to join the workshop?

Not at all! Our Shah Alam university workshops are designed for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned doodlers. Our pro artists will guide you through every step, starting with basic spray techniques and safety, before moving on to more complex lettering and shading. Most students are surprised by how much they can achieve in just a couple of hours. It's about expression and having a blast, not technical perfection! 🎨

What materials are included in the graffiti workshop package?

We’ve got you covered. We provide all the professional-grade spray paint, high-quality caps, and protective gear including gloves, masks, and coveralls to keep your campus gear clean. Depending on the setup, we’ll provide either large canvases, mobile wooden walls, or even a legal wall if available. All you need to bring is your creativity and some comfortable shoes you don't mind getting a little dusty! ✨

Is the spray paint safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odour, high-quality professional spray paints and provide all necessary PPE, including FFP2 masks and gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas, and our instructors are trained to manage groups safely. We ensure that students follow proper distance and spraying techniques to keep the environment safe and fun for everyone involved in the Shah Alam heat. 🛡️

How long does a typical university graffiti session last?

Our standard graffiti workshops for universities usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, safety demo, practice sessions, and the creation of a final masterpiece. If you're looking for a quick ice breaker or an all-day festival-style activation, we can definitely adjust the timing to fit your student union’s schedule or campus event timeline. ⏱️

Do we need to pay in advance for the workshop session?

No upfront payment is required! We believe in the quality of our workshops and want you to feel confident booking with us. You can settle the payment after the workshop has taken place and you’re satisfied with the results. This makes the administrative process much easier for student societies and university departments. We also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee to ensure your Shah Alam event is a total success. 💳

Can we choose a specific theme or design for our group mural?

Absolutely! We love themed workshops. Whether you want to celebrate a specific faculty event, focus on 'Student Wellness', or create a mural that reflects Shah Alam's unique identity, we can tailor the designs and colours to match. Just let us know your ideas or your university’s branding requirements during the booking process, and our artists will help bring that specific vision to life on the wall. 🏆

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event in Shah Alam? It’s more than just painting on walls—it’s about building a community that isn't afraid to get messy and dream big. Here’s why it’s a total game-changer:

Ultimate stress relief: Nothing says "goodbye exam stress" like the satisfying hiss of a spray can and a burst of vibrant colour. 🎤
Social media gold: Create an "Instagrammable" moment on campus that students will be sharing for weeks, putting your university on the digital map. 📸
Inclusive by design: You don't need to be an "art student" to excel; street art is the great equaliser where everyone finds their own style. 🏆
Lasting impact: Whether it's a permanent mural or a shared memory, the sense of accomplishment stays with the students long after the paint dries.
Professional vibes: We bring the real deal—pro artists who live the culture, not just teachers following a manual. 💪
Zero risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artists, your event is guaranteed to go off without a hitch!

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us with your group size and preferred date in Shah Alam. We’ll discuss if you want a collaborative mural or individual canvases.
Site evaluation: We help you pick the perfect spot on campus, ensuring it's well-ventilated and suitable for a creative explosion.
Introduction & safety: Our pro artists start with a high-energy intro, covering the history of street art and essential safety rules for using spray cans.
The first spray: Get comfortable with the 'can control'. You'll learn how to create thin lines, fat fills, and cool gradients on practice surfaces.
Sketching the vision: Using chalk or light paint, we’ll outline the main design. This is where the student body's collective ideas start to take shape.
Filling and fading: The fun part! Everyone grabs a can to start filling in the colours, learning how to blend shades like a real pro.
Outlining and details: Our artists guide you through the 'cutting' process—adding sharp outlines and highlights that make the artwork pop.
The big reveal: Step back and admire the massive masterpiece your university team has created together. It’s the perfect photo op!
Cleanup and wrap-up: We handle the cleanup, leaving the area spotless, while you head off with a huge sense of achievement and some killer new skills.

Good to know

Our university workshops are designed to be as seamless as possible for organisers. Here is what you need to know:

Duration: Typically 2 to 3 hours, but we can adapt to 1-hour "taster" sessions for larger events.
Group sizes: We cater to everything from small student committees (10+ people) to massive campus-wide activations for hundreds.
What's included: Professional artists, high-quality spray paint, caps, masks, gloves, coveralls, and mobile walls/canvases.
Weather: For Shah Alam's tropical climate, we recommend shaded outdoor areas or well-ventilated indoor spaces.
Safety: Full risk assessments provided; we use low-pressure cans that are easier for beginners to control. 🛡️

Local culture

Shah Alam is widely recognized as the 'City of Digital Arts' in Malaysia, and its street art scene is absolutely legendary. From the iconic murals in Laman Seni 7 to the hidden gems tucked away in Section 2, this city understands the power of a spray can to transform urban environments. Our workshops tap into this local heritage, giving students the chance to contribute to the city's vibrant visual culture. Whether you're studying at UiTM, MSU, or KDU, you're right in the heart of a city that respects the hustle and the craft of street art. 🔥

Fun fact: Shah Alam was the first city in Malaysia to officially transform its back alleys into "Street Art Zones," proving that the city sees graffiti not just as art, but as a vital part of its community identity! 💡
