Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely not! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a stick figure to seasoned art students. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic can control and lettering techniques. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick up the skills needed to create a vibrant piece of street art. It is all about the process and having a blast with your mates.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for university students?

Student safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective ponchos to keep your clothes clean. We use low-pressure spray cans which are much easier to control and produce less fumes. Additionally, our instructors provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, ensuring a secure environment for everyone involved in the Subang Jaya sunshine.

How long does a typical session last? {faq2}

A standard university workshop in Subang Jaya typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale collective mural or individual canvases. We can adjust the timing to fit into your lecture schedule or society meeting times if needed.

Where in Subang Jaya do the workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can bring the workshop to your campus courtyard, a local park, or host you at one of our partner creative spaces in Subang Jaya. If we are working on your campus, we use mobile wooden walls or large plastic sheets to ensure no permanent marks are left on university property. We handle all the setup and the cleanup afterwards!

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, masks, gloves, and the surfaces we'll be painting on. All you need to bring is your energy, some old clothes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on, and perhaps some water to stay hydrated!

Can you accommodate large student organisations or faculties?

Yes, we specialize in large groups! Whether it's a small student society of 10 or a massive freshman orientation event for 200, we have the staff and equipment to handle it. We have a network of backup artists to ensure your event goes off without a hitch, and we can set up multiple 'graffiti stations' to keep everyone engaged and painting.

How do we book and when do we pay?

Booking is easy and risk-free. You can request a quote via our website or use our Cost Calculator for an instant estimate. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. This makes it much easier for student treasurers to handle the paperwork with the university union!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next university event? It’s more than just painting walls—it’s about building community and boosting mental well-being in the most colourful way possible. 🔥

Ultimate stress buster: Forget exam stress! There's nothing more therapeutic than the 'hiss' of a spray can and seeing your ideas come to life. 🧘‍♂️
Teamwork on a huge scale: Collaboration is key when you're creating a massive mural with 50 other people. It’s group work that's actually fun! 🤝
Authentic street culture: Learn from real artists who live and breathe this stuff. No boring PowerPoint presentations here—just raw creativity. 🎤
Zero pressure, high reward: You don't need to be an 'artist' to make something that looks professional. Our techniques make everyone look like a pro. 🏆
Insta-worthy results: Your final mural and the action shots during the workshop will make your society's social media feed look legendary. 📸
Safety first: We provide all the gear and guidance, so you can focus entirely on the fun without any worries. 💪

Step by step

The intro & demo: We start with a high-energy intro about graffiti culture followed by a live demo from our pro artists.
Mastering the can: You'll learn 'can control'—how to hold the spray, adjust pressure, and swap nozzles for different lines.
First lines & tags: Time to get messy! You'll practice basic lines, dots, and your very own graffiti tag on practice boards.
Design & concept: Your group will brainstorm a theme for the main mural—think university pride, social issues, or just pure abstract vibes.
The outline: Our pros help you sketch the 'bones' of the piece on the large-scale surface using light colours.
Fill-in & fades: Grab your favourite colours and start filling in the shapes, learning how to blend and create cool gradients.
Cutting & details: This is where the magic happens—sharpening the edges and adding those 'pop' highlights and shadows.
The final reveal: We step back, peel off any tape, and admire the massive masterpiece your squad has created!

Good to know

Duration: Standard sessions are 1.5 to 3 hours, but we can customise this to fit your event schedule.
Group sizes: From small clubs of 10 to massive campus festivals of 200+ students.
What's included: All spray cans, caps, protective gear (masks, gloves, ponchos), and painting surfaces.
Safety: We use high-quality safety gear and offer low-pressure cans for better control. Professional supervision at all times.
Weather proof: Indoor and outdoor options available. If it rains, we’ve got backup plans to keep the creativity flowing!

Local culture

Subang Jaya is more than just a suburban hub; it's a beating heart of Malaysian youth culture and creative energy. From the bustling cafes of SS15 to the modern campuses that define the skyline, the 'SJ' vibe is all about innovation and expression. While Kuala Lumpur might have the famous street art alleys, Subang Jaya's student population is the real driving force behind local trends and urban aesthetics. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that the SS15 area is often considered the 'bubble tea capital' of Malaysia? After your graffiti workshop, you're only minutes away from the best post-art refreshments in the country! 🧋

Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging students to reflect the unique Subang identity in their work. We love seeing how different faculties—from engineering to design—bring their own unique perspectives to the spray-painted wall.
