Do we need any previous art experience to join?

No prior artistic experience is needed at all! Our workshops are designed to take absolute beginners and turn them into confident sprayers by the end of the session. Our professional artists will guide you through every step, from holding the can correctly to mastering complex shading. It’s all about having fun, experimenting with new techniques, and enjoying a creative break from your academic studies. Everyone leaves with something they are proud of!

What equipment is provided and what should we wear?

We’ve got you covered. We provide high-quality spray paint, various nozzles (caps) for different effects, and protective gear including gloves and masks. We usually work on large plastic canvases or mobile walls that we bring to your Shumen campus location. Just make sure to wear old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little 'colourful', as spray paint is permanent and can be unpredictable!

Where in Shumen do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop directly on your University campus in Shumen if there is a suitable outdoor area with good ventilation. Alternatively, we can arrange a session at a nearby creative hub or public graffiti wall. We handle all the logistics and setup, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for your student group to get messy and creative without any stress.

How long does a typical university graffiti session last?

A standard university workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demonstration, practice sessions for basic techniques, and the creation of a final collaborative or individual masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window between lectures, we can tailor the duration to fit your university's timetable perfectly.

Can we create a large collaborative mural together?

Absolutely! Graffiti is a fantastic team-building activity for student unions, societies, or faculty groups. We can structure the workshop so that everyone works together on one massive mural representing your university's values or a specific department's theme. Working on a shared piece of art encourages communication, coordination, and a great sense of collective achievement—plus it looks amazing in photos for your social media pages!

Is the spray paint safe to use for students?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide FFP2 or FFP3 grade masks to filter out fumes and dust, along with disposable gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor spaces. Our instructors are professional artists who are experienced in managing groups and ensuring everyone uses the equipment correctly. We also follow all local Shumen safety guidelines to ensure your event is as safe as it is fun.

How do we book and when do we have to pay?

Booking is easy and involves no financial risk upfront! You can contact us with your group size and preferred dates, and we will provide a custom quote. We don't require any payment until after the workshop is completed, which makes it much easier for university finance departments to process. If you need to reschedule, we have backup artists available to ensure your event always goes ahead as planned.

The experience

Why settle for another boring lecture or a standard pub night when you could be creating urban art? Our graffiti workshops offer Shumen students a chance to connect in a way that’s totally different from the classroom environment. 🔥

Total Stress Relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the hiss of a spray can and seeing your ideas come to life on a giant scale.
Boost Campus Culture: Create a mural that represents your student union or a specific cause—it’s a great way to leave a legacy.
Social Media Gold: Your Instagram and TikTok feeds will never look better than when you're caught in action with a spray can.
Accessible to All: You don't need to be an art student to excel; street art is for everyone, regardless of their degree.
Professional Guidance: Learn from real artists who live and breathe this culture, ensuring your final piece looks legit.
Zero Financial Risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, there's no stress about university budgets or upfront costs.

Let's get creative! 🎉

Step by step

Design consultation: We start by chatting about your vision. Whether it's a student union logo or a wild abstract piece, we plan the vibe.
Setup and safety: Our team arrives at your Shumen location early to set up the canvases and prepare the protective gear for everyone.
The basics: You'll learn the 'can-control' essentials—how to hold the spray, adjust pressure, and swap nozzles for different line widths.
Sketching it out: We guide you through outlining your design on the canvas using light colours to create a blueprint for your art.
Filling and fading: Now the colour comes in! We teach you how to fill large areas and create smooth gradients and fades.
The 'cut-back': This is where the magic happens. We show you how to neaten your edges and make your design pop against the background.
Adding highlights: Small details and highlights are added last to give your graffiti that professional, 3D street-art look.
Final reveal: We take a step back, admire the collective masterpiece, and snap some epic group photos for the 'gram.
Clean up: We pack everything away, leaving your campus exactly as we found it—except for the awesome new art!

Local culture

Shumen is a city where history meets high-energy student life. While the Monument to the Founders of the Bulgarian State looms impressively over the skyline, the city’s underground scene is equally vibrant. From the tech-savvy students at Konstantin Preslavsky University to the creative pockets near the city centre, Shumen has a unique urban pulse. The local street art scene is growing, blending traditional Bulgarian motifs with modern graffiti styles. 🎨

Fun Fact: Shumen is home to one of the tallest monuments in the Balkans, providing a dramatic backdrop that has inspired many local urban photographers and street artists to use the city's unique geometry in their work! ✨

Our workshops tap into this local spirit, giving Shumen students a chance to add their own modern chapter to the city's long history of visual storytelling. Whether we're setting up near the university or in a hidden urban corner, the energy of Shumen always brings out the best in our creative sessions.
