Do the participants need to be good at drawing?

Absolutely! No prior experience or artistic talent is required for our youth projects in Mendoza. Our professional artists are expert mentors who break down the process into easy, manageable steps. We focus on 'controlled creativity', ensuring every participant feels confident using a spray can. It’s all about the experience, self-expression, and having a blast with friends while learning a cool new skill in a safe environment.

Is it safe for teenagers and young children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier for younger hands to control. Additionally, our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces in Mendoza, and our artists are fully trained in lead-safety and group management to ensure a risk-free creative session.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

A standard youth community project or workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a solid introduction, safety briefing, technique practice on plastic wrap or test walls, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. We find this duration is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high and engagement focused without anyone getting tired.

Where in Mendoza do the workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop at various public legal walls around Mendoza, or we can bring the entire setup to your youth club, sports centre, or community hub. We use mobile 'graffiti walls' (cellophane stretches or wooden panels) which means we can set up virtually anywhere with a bit of open space. We’ll handle the logistics; you just provide the enthusiastic artists!

What should the youth group wear to the workshop?

While we provide protective overalls, we always recommend that participants wear 'old' clothes and comfortable trainers that you don't mind getting a little splash of colour on. Graffiti is a hands-on, messy art form! Even with gear, a stray mist of paint can travel, so it's better to be safe and dress down for the occasion. Leave the fancy designer gear at home for this one!

Can you accommodate youths with special educational needs?

Definitely! At Graffitifun, we believe in 'Graffiti for All'. Our instructors are experienced in adapting their teaching styles for various needs and abilities. Whether it's adjustable heights for murals or specific one-on-one guidance, we ensure every young person in the Mendoza community feels included and empowered to contribute to the final masterpiece. Just let us know your requirements in advance!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti project for your youth group in Mendoza? Unlike traditional art classes, street art meets young people where they are—in the culture they see every day. It’s about more than just paint; it’s about confidence and community. ✨

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a massive mural completed by their own hands gives youths an incredible sense of pride.
Safe Self-Expression: We provide a legal, constructive outlet for energy and emotion.
Teamwork Activities: Large murals require communication and collaboration to look great.
Professional Mentors: Our artists are real-world pros who inspire through their own passion and talent. 🏆
Total Flexibilty: We can come to your location in Mendoza or host you at one of our cool street art spots.
Zero Stress: No payment upfront and backup artists guaranteed – we handle everything!

Step by step

Initial Concept: We start with a group brainstorm to decide on a theme or message that represents your Mendoza youth group.
Safety & Gear: Every participant gets kitted out in protective overalls, gloves, and high-quality masks for a safe experience.
The Art of the Tag: Our pros teach the basics of 'tagging' and 'throw-ups', helping you find your own signature style.
Technique Training: Learn how to control the nozzle, create sharp lines, and master those iconic fades and gradients.
Sketching the Mural: We translate the group's ideas onto the wall or canvas, creating the 'bones' of the artwork.
Filling & Colouring: This is where the magic happens! The group works together to fill in the piece with vibrant colours.
The Final Outline: Our artists help the kids add the sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make the graffiti pop.
Photo Op: We wrap up with a professional group photo in front of the finished masterpiece to celebrate the achievement.

Local culture

Mendoza isn't just about the world-class Malbec and the Andes mountains; it's a city with a growing urban pulse. From the artistic alleys of the Quinta Sección to the vibrant murals emerging in Godoy Cruz, the local street art scene is booming. Our youth projects tap into this Mendozino spirit, encouraging young people to contribute to their city’s visual identity in a positive, legal way. 🔥

Fun Fact: Did you know that Mendoza hosts several 'Encuentros de Muralismo' (Muralist Gatherings)? The city views street art as a way to enhance urban spaces, making it the perfect backdrop for our creative workshops!
