Frequently asked questions

Do we need any previous art experience to join the workshop?

Absolutely! Our Tamale university workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional street artists start with the basics, teaching you how to hold the can, control pressure, and create clean lines. Most students are amazed at what they can produce by the end of the session. We provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where the goal is to experiment and have a blast while learning a new skill.

Is the workshop safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our top priority in the Northern Region. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and disposable overalls to protect your clothes. We typically host these sessions in well-ventilated outdoor campus spaces or large open halls. Our spray paints are professional-grade, and our instructors are trained to ensure everyone uses the equipment correctly and safely throughout the entire creative process.

How long does a typical session last for university groups?

A standard university workshop in Tamale usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows for a comprehensive introduction, technique practice, and the completion of a final masterpiece. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into a specific lecture gap or as part of a larger 'Student Week' festival. Just let us know your timetable, and we will make it work!

What is the maximum group size for a campus event?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you are a small group of 10 student leaders or a massive university-wide event with 100+ participants, we've got you covered. For very large groups, we bring in extra backup artists to ensure everyone gets personal guidance. We can set up multiple 'stations' across the campus to keep the energy high and the paint flowing smoothly.

How does the payment process work for university societies?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexible booking policy. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date in Tamale. We believe in our service so much that you only pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of student union budgeting and event planning.

Can you bring the workshop directly to our campus or hostel?

Yes, our Tamale workshops are completely mobile! While we often work in outdoor campus squares or near student hostels, we can also bring the experience to local community centres or private venues if preferred. As long as there is enough space and ventilation, we can set up our mobile graffiti walls almost anywhere to bring the street art vibe directly to you.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We bring everything! The package includes premium spray cans in a wide array of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and the surfaces we'll be painting on (usually large canvases or mobile wooden walls). You just need to show up with your creative energy and some old shoes you don't mind getting a bit of dust on. We handle the rest!
