Is the graffiti workshop safe for children after school?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including gloves, overalls, and specialized face masks to prevent any inhalation of fumes. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children and teenagers, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly and follow all safety protocols in a controlled, outdoor, or well-ventilated environment.

Do the students need any previous art experience?

No prior drawing or painting skills are needed at all! Our workshops in Breda are designed for all talent levels. Our instructors start with the very basics of handling a spray can and building letter structures. We find that students who think they aren't 'artistic' often produce some of the most impressive work once they learn a few simple professional techniques and tricks.

What should the participants wear to the session?

We recommend that students wear comfortable clothing and old shoes that they don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide full protective suits and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business, and it is better to be safe than sorry with your favourite pair of trainers or a brand-new jacket.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

The weather in Breda can be unpredictable, but we always have a plan. If we are working at an outdoor 'Hall of Fame' and rain is forecast, we can often relocate to a sheltered spot or use one of our indoor-safe techniques if a suitable venue is available. We also have backup artists ready to ensure the workshop goes ahead regardless of minor hitches.

How long does a typical Breda after-school session last?

A standard after-school graffiti workshop usually lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We can adjust the duration slightly to fit into specific school club timetables or local community centre schedules.

Do we need to pay for the workshop in advance?

We believe in flexibility and trust. For our Breda workshops, you don't need to worry about upfront payments. You can book the date and confirm the details with us, and the payment is only handled after the workshop has been successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the creative experience we provided to the students.

The experience

Choosing a Graffitifun workshop in Breda means choosing quality, safety, and a whole lot of fun. Here is why our after-school sessions are the top choice for local educators:

Boosts confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art come to life gives students a massive sense of accomplishment.
Expert instructors: Our team consists of active graffiti artists who know how to inspire and mentor young people.
Stress-free booking: With no upfront payments and a reliable backup team, your event is in safe hands.
Authentic experience: We use professional-grade materials and real-world techniques, not watered-down 'craft' versions.
Team building: Collaborative murals require students to communicate and work together towards a shared vision.
Safety first: We provide full-body protection and high-quality respiratory masks for all sessions.

Step by step

Introduction and safety briefing: We kick things off with a quick chat about street art culture and a vital safety run-through, including how to wear masks and gloves.
Cans and caps 101: Students learn about different spray caps (nozzles) and how they change the thickness and pressure of the paint lines.
First lines and circles: Under the guidance of a pro artist, everyone gets to practice basic shapes on a practice wall to get a feel for the pressure of the spray.
Sketching the concept: We help the group brainstorm a theme or name, teaching them how to sketch out bold graffiti letters with proper proportions.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! Participants learn 'filling' techniques and how to create smooth colour gradients (fades).
Outlining and highlights: We show how a sharp outline and a few 'shiny' white highlights can make any piece of art pop off the wall.
Adding the details: Students can get creative with 3D effects, 'force fields' (outer glows), and decorative elements like bubbles or drips.
The final tag: Everyone gets to sign their work with their own unique graffiti tag name, just like the professionals do.
Clean-up and group photo: We pack up the gear and take a high-quality photo of the group with their finished masterpiece to show off to parents and teachers.

Local culture

Breda is a city that breathes creativity, from its historic Nassau monuments to the cutting-edge displays of the Blind Walls Gallery. The city has transformed into an open-air museum, with murals tucked away in alleyways and displayed proudly on large apartment blocks. Our after-school workshops tap into this local 'Bredase' street art energy. We often host our sessions at iconic local spots like the Pier 15 Skatepark area or the legal walls near the industrial zones, where the echoes of Breda's urban culture are strongest. By participating, students don't just learn a skill; they become a small part of the city's living artistic history, inspired by the giant murals they see every day while cycling to school.

Pricing

Our graffiti experiences are competitively priced to suit school budgets and youth organisations. Prices typically range from €25 to €55 per person, depending on the total number of participants, the location, and the specific materials required for your chosen theme.

Because every after-school programme has different needs—whether it is a one-off session or a recurring weekly club—we prefer to provide a tailored quote to give you the best value possible. No upfront payment is required to secure your booking.
