How long does an after school graffiti workshop last?

A typical after school graffiti session in Tilburg lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This provides ample time for the introduction, safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. We find this timing keeps energy levels high and ensures kids remain fully engaged from the first spray to the final photo op!

Is the paint safe for children to use?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups closely, ensuring that the spray paint is used correctly and safely in a well-ventilated outdoor environment. It’s all the fun of street art with none of the risks!

What should the students wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a little 'artistic.' While we provide protective suits and gloves, graffiti paint is designed to stay put, and splashes can happen during the excitement. Think of it as a creative 'uniform' for the day—dress for a mess and you'll have the best time!

Do the kids need any previous drawing or art experience?

No artistic talent is required! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to budding illustrators. Our artists teach simple, step-by-step techniques that allow everyone to create something they are proud of. We focus on the joy of creation, confidence building, and having a blast, rather than perfection. Everyone leaves feeling like a pro!

Where in Tilburg do these workshops take place?

We are flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises (if a suitable outdoor wall or board area is available) or at one of our dedicated legal graffiti spots in Tilburg, such as the famous Hall of Fame area. We handle all the logistics and setup, making it easy for schools and parents to organise a memorable afternoon.

What is the minimum age for participants?

We generally recommend our after school workshops for children aged 8 and up. This age group has the motor skills to handle the spray cans effectively and can follow the safety instructions easily. However, we can adapt our teaching style for slightly younger or older groups to ensure everyone gets the most out of their spray-painting experience.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?

We make it easy for Tilburg schools and parents. There is no upfront payment required when you book! You can pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We also have backup artists ready to go, so you never have to worry about a cancellation ruining the students' afternoon plans.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your after school program? It’s more than just painting; it’s about discovery! Here’s why Tilburg schools love working with us:

Confidence boost: Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a massive artwork you created yourself. It turns "I can't" into "Look at this!" 🚀
Safe & professional: We use top-tier safety gear and professional-grade, low-odour spray paint suitable for young artists.
Teamwork in action: Many of our Tilburg sessions focus on a "big mural" project where students must collaborate to create a cohesive piece.
Authentic artists: Our instructors aren't just teachers; they are active street artists who bring real-world passion to the yard. 🔥
Zero stress for you: We handle all materials, setup, and the heavy-duty cleaning. You just provide the students and the space!
Total reliability: With our backup artist policy, your workshop will always go ahead as planned. No cancellations, no worries. ✨

Step by step

Arrival and intro: Our professional artist meets the group in Tilburg and kicks things off with a high-energy intro about the history of street art.
Safety first: Every student gets geared up with protective overalls, gloves, and a high-quality mask to ensure a safe, clean environment.
The first spray: We start with 'test boards' where kids learn basic nozzle control, how to regulate pressure, and how to create clean lines.
Sketching the vision: Students brainstorm their designs, choosing colours and styles for their tags or characters under expert guidance.
Filling and fading: Learners move on to advanced techniques like colour blending, 'fills', and creating cool 3D shadows.
The masterpiece: Each student works on their final canvas or piece of the group mural, putting all their new skills into practice.
Outlining and details: The final touch! We teach how to add sharp outlines and 'highlights' that make the artwork pop.
Photo op and clean up: We take group photos with the finished art, then handle all the clean-up so you don't have to worry about a thing!

Local culture

Tilburg isn't just about textiles anymore; it’s a booming hub for urban creativity! From the legendary Hall of Fame near the Spoorzone to the vibrant murals found throughout the city, Tilburg embraces the 'raw' edge of street art. Our workshops tap into this local energy, giving Tilburg’s youth a chance to contribute to the city's creative reputation. We often find inspiration in the city's industrial past and its modern, quirky spirit.

Fun fact: Did you know Tilburg is home to one of the largest legal graffiti walls in the Netherlands? The 'Hall of Fame' ensures that street art is a respected and celebrated part of local life! 🏆

Whether you are near the Reeshof or the city centre, our workshops bring that authentic Tilburg street vibe to your students in a controlled, educational environment.
