Will I become a professional graffiti artist after one session?

While we certainly teach you the techniques to make your art look professional, our primary focus is on the experience and education. We provide a fun, safe, and legal environment where you can express your creativity. The goal of our anti-vandalism program is to show that street art is at its best when it's done with permission and skill, rather than as a quick act of vandalism.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants?

The workshop is designed to be very safe! We provide all necessary protective equipment, including high-quality FFP2 masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our professional artists supervise every step of the process. We use high-quality spray paints in a controlled environment, ensuring that everyone can focus on having a great time without worrying about safety or mess.

Do I need any prior drawing or painting experience?

Not at all! Our anti-vandalism workshops are specifically designed for beginners. Whether you have never touched a spray can before or you have some artistic background, our expert mentors will guide you through the basics. We start with simple lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques, ensuring everyone walks away with a piece they are proud of.

What kind of surfaces will we be painting on?

In our Tilburg workshops, we usually provide large wooden panels or professional canvases for you to work on. This allows you to take your masterpiece home or display it at your organisation. For larger group projects, we sometimes work on communal walls or temporary structures, depending on the specific goals of your anti-vandalism program and the location chosen.

How long does a typical anti-vandalism graffiti session last?

The duration typically ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction to graffiti culture, a safety briefing, technique practice, and the creation of your final artwork. If you have a specific schedule to stick to, just let us know! We are very flexible and can tailor the length of the session to fit your event's timeline perfectly.

What should I wear and bring to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on—just in case! While we provide full-body protective overalls, it is always better to be safe. Since Tilburg can have unpredictable weather, if we are outdoors, bring an extra layer. We provide everything else: paint, caps, masks, gloves, and the surfaces to paint on.

Can you host the workshop at my own location in Tilburg?

Absolutely! While we love hosting people at our dedicated creative spots in Tilburg, we are fully mobile. We can bring the entire anti-vandalism experience to your school, office, or community centre. We use specialised equipment to ensure the surrounding area stays clean, and we can set up temporary 'graffiti walls' almost anywhere. Just contact us to discuss the logistical possibilities for your specific location.

Intro & Street History: We kick things off with a high-energy look at the history of street art and the difference between vandalism and legal art.
Safety First: Put on your protective gear! We suit everyone up in overalls, gloves, and professional masks to keep things clean and safe.
Mastering the Can: Our artists show you the ropes—how to hold the can, control the pressure, and swap nozzles for different effects.
Sketching your Vision: Before the paint flies, you'll sketch out your design on paper, focusing on positive themes or personal tags.
Setting the Base: You'll start by spray-painting your background colours, learning how to blend and fade like a pro.
Outlining & Detail: This is where the magic happens! You'll trace your sketch onto the surface and add those sharp, professional lines.
The Highlight Phase: Add 'highlights' and '3D effects' to make your graffiti pop off the wall and look three-dimensional.
Final Group Gallery: We step back to admire the collective work, discussing how creative expression beats illegal tagging every time.
Clean-up & Wrap: We pack up the gear, and you get to keep your artwork as a trophy of your creative journey.

Local culture

Tilburg is a city that breathes character, from the industrial vibes of the Spoorzone to the vibrant colours of the Piushaven. It’s no secret that Tilburg has evolved into a true street art hub in the Netherlands. Our workshops take inspiration from the city's "Kruikenzeiker" spirit—resilient, creative, and a bit rebellious. We lean into the local aesthetic, teaching techniques that you’ll see on the walls of the Hall of Fame or during the famous Tilburg Murals projects. Street art here isn't just paint; it's a way of documenting the city's soul. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Tilburg is home to some of the largest street art murals in the Benelux? The city actively uses legal graffiti to brighten up old textile factory areas, proving that art is the best tool for urban renewal! 🏗️
