The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your after-school programme in Kimbe? It’s more than just painting; it’s about confidence, teamwork, and finding a voice. Here’s why it’s a total game-changer:

  • Epic confidence boost: Seeing a 2-metre tall masterpiece you created yourself does wonders for a student's self-esteem! 🔥
  • Zero-pressure environment: There are no "mistakes" in graffiti—only "happy accidents" that we turn into cool effects.
  • Teamwork in action: Students collaborate on large-scale pieces, learning how to blend their individual styles into one cohesive mural.
  • Safe exploration: We teach the difference between illegal vandalism and the professional world of street art and murals.
  • Physical activity: Getting up, moving around, and using your whole body to paint is a great way to burn off post-school energy! 💪
  • Professional mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active creators who inspire kids to see art as a viable passion or career.

Looking for something different? We also offer Kids parties, School projects, and even specialized 3D Street art sessions!

Step by step

  1. Design session: We start by sketching out ideas on paper, learning about letter structures and colour schemes to plan our masterpiece.
  2. Safety briefing: Every student gets kitted out in protective suits, gloves, and masks while we explain the "golden rules" of spray painting.
  3. Can control: Learn the basics of how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different line widths like a pro.
  4. The first stroke: Students begin applying their background colours, learning how to blend shades and create cool gradients on the wall.
  5. Outlining: This is where the magic happens! We teach you how to "cut" lines and make your letters or characters pop with sharp outlines.
  6. Highlights and details: Add those final "shining" bits and funky patterns that turn a simple drawing into a professional-looking graffiti piece.
  7. The big reveal: We step back, peel off any tape, and admire the collective work. It’s the perfect moment for a group photo!
  8. Clean up: We pack up all the gear and ensure the area is spotless, leaving only the beautiful art behind.

Local culture

Street art in Kimbe

Kimbe is world-famous for the stunning blues of Kimbe Bay, but we're here to bring every other colour of the rainbow to the land! In West New Britain, community and creativity go hand in hand. While traditional art forms are deeply respected here, the modern youth of Kimbe are increasingly looking towards global street art cultures to express their unique identity. Our workshops bridge that gap, teaching local students how to use modern tools to tell their own stories.

Fun fact: Did you know Kimbe is often called the "Coral Capital"? While the reefs provide natural beauty underwater, our graffiti workshops aim to create a "cultural reef" of vibrant street art on the surface! 🎨

We also serve other hubs across Papua New Guinea, including Port Moresby, Lae, Mount Hagen, and Madang.

Pricing

Because every school and youth group in Kimbe has different needs, our pricing is fully customisable. Factors like the number of participants, the length of the programme, and whether we are painting a permanent mural or temporary boards will influence the final cost.
