Do I need any prior art experience for a VIP workshop?

Absolutely! Most of our VIP guests in Drogheda have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists are there to guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to advanced layering techniques. We provide a safe, encouraging environment where you can experiment and find your own style without any pressure. You'll be amazed at the high-quality piece you'll create by the end of the session!

What should I wear to the graffiti workshop?

We suggest wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide high-quality protective suits, gloves, and masks, graffiti can be unpredictable! It’s best to leave the designer gear at home and opt for something practical so you can focus entirely on your masterpiece. Depending on the weather in County Louth, bringing an extra layer for outdoor sessions is always a smart move.

How long does the VIP experience usually last?

A standard VIP graffiti experience in Drogheda typically lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final canvas or wall piece. If you have specific time constraints or want to extend the session for a larger group, just let us know. We are flexible and can tailor the duration to fit your private schedule perfectly.

What happens if the artist is unavailable on the day?

We pride ourselves on being reliable. Unlike individual freelancers, Graffitifun has a large team of backup artists across Ireland. In the rare event that your primary artist is unavailable, we have professional reinforcements ready to step in. This ensures your special event in Drogheda goes ahead exactly as planned, giving you total peace of mind when booking your VIP experience with us.

How is the VIP experience different from a standard workshop?

Our VIP package is the 'gold standard' of workshops. You get premium materials, more one-on-one time with a lead artist, and a focus on high-end results. We often include larger canvases or specific locations that offer a more intimate, 'behind-the-scenes' feel of the Irish street art world. It’s designed for those who want a more personal, creative, and luxurious introduction to the world of graffiti.

Do I need to pay upfront for the booking?

At Graffitifun, we believe in 'fun first, pay later.' You don't need to worry about upfront deposits or credit card fees when booking. Once the workshop in Drogheda is finished and you are 100% satisfied with the experience, we handle the payment. This reflects our confidence in our artists and our commitment to ensuring you have an incredible time without any financial stress beforehand.

Are the materials and spray cans safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect you from fumes, along with gloves and full-body protective suits. Our artists give a comprehensive safety briefing before any cans are shaken. We use high-quality paints and ensure that our workspace is well-ventilated. Whether we are working in a private studio or an outdoor space in Drogheda, your well-being is always looked after.

Step by step

The royal welcome: Meet your pro graffiti artist at our designated Drogheda creative spot. We’ll kick things off with an intro to the culture and a quick safety chat. 🎨
Mastering the tools: Learn about different nozzles (caps) and how they change your spray pattern. It’s all about the wrist movement and pressure!
Sketching your vision: Brainstorm your design on paper first. Whether it’s your name or a cool character, our artist will help you refine the concept.
First lines: Head to the wall or canvas and start "tagging." You'll practice basic lines and circles to get a feel for the can't's flow. 💪
Fill-ins and fades: Learn how to fill large areas with vibrant colours and create those iconic "fade" effects that make graffiti pop.
The outline: This is where the magic happens. Use a contrasting colour to sharpen your design and make it stand out from the background. ✨
Highlights and details: Add the finishing touches—shine, "glints," and shadows—to give your artwork that professional 3D look.
The big reveal: Step back and admire your work. We’ll take professional-style photos of you with your masterpiece for the 'gram! 📸
Takeaway: If you worked on a canvas, it's yours to keep. If it's a wall, your legacy joins the vibrant street art history of the Boyne Valley!

Local culture

Drogheda is a town where ancient history meets modern creativity. Walking through the streets, you can see the contrast between the medieval St. Laurence’s Gate and the vibrant murals that have begun to pop up as part of the local arts scene. Our workshops embrace this spirit, connecting the town's legendary past with the contemporary "writing" culture of the 21st century.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Drogheda was once one of the largest walled towns in Ireland? Today, those walls serve as a silent inspiration for the street artists who see every vertical surface as a potential canvas for storytelling! 🏰

We often host our VIP sessions in locations that offer a view of the River Boyne or the iconic Viaduct, giving you a truly "Drogheda" atmosphere while you paint. It's not just a class; it's a celebration of the Louth creative spirit.

Pricing

Our VIP experiences are tailored to provide maximum value and a premium atmosphere. Prices generally range from €30 to €60 per person, depending on the number of participants, the location, and the specific materials requested (such as custom-sized canvases).

We believe in total transparency and zero stress—that's why we don't require any payment until the workshop is over and you're buzzing with creative pride! 🎉
