Do I need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Most of our pop-up event attendees in Drogheda have never held a spray can before. Our professional artists start with the basics, teaching you about nozzle control, pressure, and safety. By the time the session ends, you'll be amazed at the piece you've created. We provide a supportive, high-energy environment where 'mistakes' are just part of the style!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

We prioritize your safety and the environment. Graffitifun uses high-quality, low-odour water-based or acrylic spray paints specifically designed for workshops. We also provide all necessary protective gear, including gloves and masks. If the event is outdoors, we ensure the setup is secure and ventilated. Our artists are trained to manage groups safely while keeping the atmosphere fun and creative.

What should I wear to a graffiti pop-up?

Wear something you don't mind getting a little bit of 'character' on! While we provide protective ponchos and gloves, graffiti can be a messy business and paint occasionally finds its way onto shoes or sleeves. Think comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Avoid your Sunday best or brand-new designer trainers just in case a stray mist of 'Living Coral' comes your way!

Where exactly in Drogheda do these events take place?

Our Drogheda pop-up events are incredibly flexible. We can set up portable graffiti walls at festivals, local community centres, or even in private gardens for specialized events. If you have a specific location in mind near the Boyne or in the town centre, let us know! We handle the logistics of the 'wall' setup so you can focus on the art.

How much does a pop-up graffiti experience cost?

Pricing in Drogheda typically ranges from €30 to €60 per person. This variation depends on the total number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials requested (like premium canvases or custom stencils). Because every pop-up is unique, we recommend using our online Cost Calculator or requesting a custom quote for the most accurate pricing for your group.

How long does the graffiti session last?

A standard pop-up workshop usually lasts between 90 minutes and 3 hours. This gives everyone enough time to learn the techniques, practice their tags, and complete a final masterpiece. For larger festivals or public events in Co. Louth, we can run 'drop-in' style sessions that last all day, allowing hundreds of people to contribute to a massive collaborative mural.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

Rain is no stranger to the Wee County! For our Drogheda events, we always have a Plan B. We can use heavy-duty gazebos for outdoor setups, or we can move the experience indoors using low-pressure, indoor-friendly paints. Thanks to our backup artist network, we rarely ever have to cancel – we make sure the creativity flows regardless of the Irish weather.

Local culture

Drogheda has a deep-rooted history, but it's also a town that embraces the new. From the iconic murals decorating the walls near the River Boyne to the creative energy found in local arts hubs, 'The Drawda' is the perfect backdrop for a street art revolution. We love bringing our pop-up events here because the locals have a fantastic sense of community and a wicked sense of humour.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Drogheda is one of the oldest towns in Ireland? While the Vikings were the first to settle here, we think they would have loved a bit of spray paint to brighten up their longships!

Whether we're setting up near the viaduct or at a local sports club, our workshops celebrate the blend of Drogheda's ancient heritage with modern, urban expression. If you've seen the impressive "Drawda" urban art trail, you know exactly the kind of inspiration we're working with!
