Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Most of our participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists in Ruse will guide you through the basics, from how to hold the can to mastering different nozzles. We focus on fun and expression, so there is no pressure to be a 'pro'. You will be amazed at what you can achieve in just a couple of hours with the right guidance!

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

Safety is a huge priority for us. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated areas, and our instructors are trained to manage the equipment safely. We use professional-grade paint that is easy to handle once you learn the proper technique.

How long does a typical session last?

Standard cultural event workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a safety demo, practice sessions, and the final creation of your masterpiece. If you are planning a larger festival or a more complex community project in Ruse, we can definitely extend the duration to suit your needs.

What is included in the workshop package?

We provide everything you need to get creative! This includes a wide range of spray paint colours, various 'caps' (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the surfaces to paint on. We can set up large plastic 'walls' or provide individual canvases depending on the event setup. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and wear comfortable shoes!

Can we book a workshop for a private party or company event?

We love helping people celebrate! Beyond our cultural events, we offer tailored experiences for kids' parties, bachelor parties, and corporate team-building events. Whether you are looking for a high-energy birthday activity or a unique brand activation in the heart of Ruse, we can customise the workshop style, music, and project focus to match your specific vibe and goals.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

Weather in Ruse can be tropical in the summer or chilly in the winter! For outdoor events, we always keep a close eye on the forecast. If the weather looks bad, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space with proper ventilation. We also have backup artists available to ensure your event goes ahead without a hitch.

How much does a workshop cost?

Our pricing in Ruse typically ranges from лв40 to лв90 per person. The final cost depends on various factors such as the number of participants, the duration of the event, and the specific materials required. We believe in transparency and flexibility, which is why we don't require upfront payments. You can pay after the fun is done!

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick briefing on how to use the equipment safely and effectively.
Concept Brainstorming: Our artists help you sketch out ideas and teach you the basics of 'tagging' and 'piece' design on paper first.
Can Control: You will head to the wall (or canvas) to learn 'can control'—mastering distance, speed, and pressure to get the perfect line.
Outlining: We guide you through the process of sketching your main design onto the painting surface using light colours.
Filling In: This is where the magic happens! You will learn how to 'fill' your shapes with vibrant colours and smooth gradients.
Cutting & Sharpening: Our pros show you how to 'cut' back with background colours to make your lines look razor-sharp and professional.
Adding Details: Think highlights, 3D effects, and sparkles. These final touches really make your artwork pop off the wall.
The Big Reveal: We take a group photo (the ultimate 'Gram moment) and celebrate the incredible collective street art you've created!

Local culture

Ruse is a city where history meets the avant-garde. Known as the 'Little Vienna' due to its Neo-Baroque and Neo-Rococo architecture, it provides a stunning contrast to the raw, modern energy of street art. The city has a long history of cultural "firsts" in Bulgaria, making it the ideal spot for a forward-thinking graffiti workshop experience. We love taking inspiration from the Danube river's flow and the intricate details of the local monuments to help you create something that feels truly 'Ruse'.

🎨 Fun Fact: Ruse was the first city in Bulgaria to have a cinema and a printed newspaper. We are keeping that spirit of innovation alive by bringing cutting-edge urban art workshops to the local community!

Whether we are setting up near the iconic Monument of Liberty or working in a modern industrial space, the vibe in Ruse is always inspiring. If you are looking to explore more of Bulgaria's street art scene, don't forget to check out our hubs in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, and Burgas.

We believe that high-quality street art experiences should be accessible to everyone in Ruse. Our pricing is flexible to accommodate different group sizes and setup requirements.
