Are the spray paints used in the Ruse workshop safe?

Yes, safety is our absolute priority. We use low-odour artist spray cans that are safer for sensitive respiratory systems than standard hardware store paints. We also provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for everyone. Our professional instructors in Ruse are trained to manage the environment carefully, ensuring everyone can focus on having a blast without any worries.

Can the workshop be adapted for participants with limited mobility?

Absolutely! Every Special Needs Program we run in Ruse is bespoke. Whether you need more seating, wheelchair-accessible surfaces, or a quieter environment with less sensory input, we adapt everything to fit your group. When you book, just let us know the specific requirements or mobility needs, and our artists will set up the workspace to ensure maximum comfort and accessibility.

How long does an inclusive graffiti session typically last?

Typically, our inclusive workshops in Ruse last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. We find this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible; if your group needs more frequent breaks or a slower pace, we can stretch the session out. It’s all about the experience, not rushing to the finish line.

Do participants need to have any prior artistic skills?

No experience is needed at all! Our Ruse-based artists specialize in teaching the basics from scratch. We use 'fill-in' techniques and guided stencils that allow anyone, regardless of artistic background, to create something they are proud of. It’s about the joy of movement and colour, rather than technical perfection. Everyone leaves feeling like a true street artist.

What should participants wear and what is provided?

We recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. While we provide full-body protective suits, shoe covers, and gloves, those spray cans can sometimes be unpredictable! We provide everything else: the 'canvas' (which could be a wall or boards), professional spray paint in a rainbow of colours, and all necessary safety equipment.

What happens if we need to cancel or change our booking?

We understand that plans can change, especially with specialized groups. One of the unique benefits of booking with Graffitifun is that we don't require upfront payments for Ruse bookings—you pay after the workshop. We also have a network of backup artists available, so your event is guaranteed to go ahead even if an instructor falls ill. Your peace of mind is important to us!

The experience

Why choose our graffiti program in Ruse? Because we believe art should be reachable for everyone. Our workshops offer more than just painting; they offer a sense of accomplishment and a unique sensory experience. 🎨

Sensory Engagement: The texture of the paint, the sound of the can, and the vibrant colours provide a wonderful multi-sensory environment.
Physical Therapy: Pressing the nozzle and moving the arm helps develop fine and gross motor skills in an enjoyable way. 💪
Boosted Confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art come to life gives participants a massive feeling of pride.
Highly Adaptable: We change our teaching style to match the cognitive and physical needs of every individual.
Professional Artists: Our team isn't just good with paint; they are patient, kind, and passionate about inclusivity. ❤️
Guaranteed Fun: We focus on the smiles first and the art second—though the art always turns out amazing! 🎉

Local culture

Ruse is a city of incredible architecture and a growing appreciation for modern urban culture. While it's famous for its Neo-Baroque buildings, the local street art scene is finding its voice in the spaces in between. Our workshops often take place near the Danube, where the fresh breeze and open spaces provide the perfect backdrop for a creative getaway. 🌊

Fun Fact: Did you know Ruse is often called 'The Little Vienna' because of its stunning 19th-century architecture? It was the first city in Bulgaria to have modern European influences, making it the perfect place to blend classic beauty with modern, edgy street art! 🏆
