Is the paint safe for participants with sensitivities?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, water-based spray cans for our indoor sessions and when working with participants who might be sensitive to smells. Safety is our main priority, so we also provide protective gloves, masks, and aprons to ensure everyone stays clean and comfortable while they create their masterpieces in Dobrich.

What should our group wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide full protective gear, graffiti is a hands-on, energetic activity, and sometimes a stray droplet of 'creative spirit' might land on your shoes! Flat, closed-toe shoes are best for stability while moving around the canvases.

How do you adapt the workshop for different physical abilities?

Our artists are experts at adapting. We use larger canvases, simplified stencil techniques, and 'fat cap' nozzles that require less finger pressure to spray. We focus on the sensory experience—the sound of the can, the bright colours, and the physical movement—ensuring every person, regardless of their physical or cognitive ability, can participate fully.

How long does a typical session last?

We find that 90 minutes to 2 hours is the 'sweet spot' for our special needs programs in Dobrich. This allows plenty of time for an introduction, creative exploration, and a final celebration of the artwork without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible and can shorten or extend the session based on your group's energy levels.

Can carers or parents join in the fun?

Yes, parents, carers, and support staff are more than welcome—in fact, we love it when they get involved! Having familiar faces around helps participants feel secure and confident. Our instructors lead the session, but your staff knows the individual needs best, making us a perfect team for a successful day.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

While we often work outdoors in the fresh air of Dobrich, we have great indoor arrangements too. If the weather doesn't play ball, we move the workshop to a ventilated indoor space using low-odour paints or focus on specialized 'street art sketches' and marker techniques until the sun comes back out. We always have a backup artist and a backup plan!

Is there an age limit for the special needs program?

We pride ourselves on being accessible to everyone! We don't have a strict age limit, as we can adapt our materials for children, teens, and adults alike. As long as the participant can safely interact with the environment, we will find a way to make the graffiti experience meaningful and exciting for them.

Guided creation: Using stencils, tape, or freehand strokes, our artists assist each person in applying paint to their canvas at their own pace.

Local culture

Dobrich, known for its rich agricultural heritage and the beautiful City Park "St. George", is a place that truly values community and inclusion. Our workshops reflect this local spirit by bringing people together in the fresh air of the Dobrudzha plain. Graffiti here isn't just about paint; it's about adding a splash of modern, inclusive culture to a city steeped in history. We often take inspiration from the bright sunflowers and golden wheat fields that surround the city when choosing our palettes!

Fun fact: Dobrich is home to one of the oldest city parks in Bulgaria, providing a serene and inspiring backdrop for our creative outdoor sessions! 🌳

Whether we are working near the Old Dobrich ethnographic complex or in a local community centre, our goal is to weave the colourful threads of street art into the local fabric of this wonderful city.
