What exactly is live painting and how does it work?

Live painting is a dynamic performance where our artist creates a large-scale graffiti mural right in front of your guests. It’s interactive, visually stunning, and provides constant entertainment throughout your event in Oradea. Unlike a pre-painted piece, this allows people to see the techniques, smell the fresh paint (we use low-odour cans!), and witness the creative process from a blank canvas to a finished masterpiece.

Can we choose what the artist paints?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you want a specific logo, a brand message, or a theme that reflects Oradea's Art Nouveau heritage, our artists can make it happen. We usually discuss the concept with you beforehand to ensure the colours and style align perfectly with your event's vibe. You can even choose to have guests add a few strokes under our guidance!

Is it messy or smelly for an indoor event?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. We use high-quality, low-odour professional spray paint and set up protective floor coverings and screens to prevent any overspray. We can work both indoors (with proper ventilation) and outdoors. We handle all the prep and the cleanup, so you can enjoy the show without worrying about a mess in your venue.

How long does a live painting session last?

Most live painting performances last between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the complexity of the design and the flow of your schedule. We can pace the work to match your event highlights—for example, finishing the piece right as the keynote speaker ends or during the peak of a party. We’ll work with you to find the perfect timing.

Do you provide live painting services outside of Oradea?

Absolutely! While we love Oradea, our team is mobile and frequently performs in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, and Iasi. We bring all the necessary equipment, including the canvas, paints, and protection, to any location in Romania. Just let us know where your event is happening, and we will be there with our spray cans ready to go.

What are your payment terms? Do I need to pay a deposit?

No upfront payment is required when you book with Graffitifun! We believe in the quality of our work and the fun of the experience, so you only pay after the workshop or performance is completed. This gives you peace of mind and ensures that we are 100% committed to making your event a massive success.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

The finished mural is yours to keep! It serves as a fantastic memento of the event that you can hang in your office, give away as a prize, or even auction off for charity. If you don't have space for it, just let us know, and we can arrange for its disposal, but most clients love keeping their custom Oradea street art.

Step by step

Initial consultation: Reach out to us with your event date and vision. We’ll discuss the theme, location in Oradea, and the size of the mural.
Design conceptualisation: Our artists create a sketch or mood board based on your brand, event theme, or personal style.
Setup and protection: On the event day, we arrive early to set up the "stage," including floor protection, professional lighting if needed, and the canvas.
The first strokes: As your guests arrive, the artist begins the outline. This "blank canvas" moment builds immediate curiosity and anticipation.
Layering and colour: Throughout the event, the piece evolves. Guests can watch the layering techniques and see the artwork come to life in real-time.
Guest interaction: Our artists are friendly! They’ll chat with guests, explain the process, and sometimes even let people try a spray stroke.
The grand reveal: Towards the end of the session, the final details and highlights are added, resulting in a spectacular finished piece.
Photo op and handover: The artwork is now ready for photos! It’s yours to keep as a permanent memory of an unforgettable Oradea event.

Local culture

Oradea is a city of incredible visual beauty, famous for its stunning Art Nouveau facade and the Crișul Repede river. While the city is steeped in history, there’s a growing appetite for modern, urban expression. We love bringing our live painting to Oradea because the contrast between the classic architecture and fresh, contemporary graffiti creates a unique aesthetic that people here truly appreciate. Whether you're hosting an event near the Black Eagle Palace or in a modern industrial space, our art bridges the gap between heritage and the future. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Oradea is part of the Art Nouveau Network along with cities like Barcelona and Vienna? Our artists often take inspiration from these intricate local patterns to create "Modern Graffiti Art Nouveau" hybrids! 🎨
