Is the graffiti workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student. Our professional artists lead the session with a comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring that the spray paint stays on the wall and away from skin or lungs. We only use professional-grade cans in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated spaces.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our typical secondary school workshops in Oradea last between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the teens enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their 'tagging' and 'throwing' techniques, and collaborate on a final large-scale mural. If you have a specific school schedule to stick to, we can easily adapt the timing to fit your lesson blocks.

What does the school need to provide?

We come fully prepared! Graffitifun provides everything: premium spray paint in a rainbow of colours, caps, protective gear, and the 'canvas' (whether that's mobile wooden walls or large plastic film). All we need from the school is an outdoor space like a playground or a sports field. If it rains, don't worry—we have backup plans and can work under cover!

Doesn't this encourage illegal graffiti or vandalism?

Actually, it's quite the opposite! Our workshops teach students the difference between illegal vandalism and street art as a respected professional craft. We focus on the discipline, design skills, and respect for public property. By giving them a legitimate outlet for their creativity, students often gain a newfound respect for the urban environment and the effort required to make art.

What if some students aren't naturally 'artistic'?

Our workshops are designed to be inclusive for everyone, regardless of their artistic ability. Our instructors use a step-by-step method that helps even the most 'non-creative' students produce something they are proud of. It’s more about the process, the physical movement, and the team-building than being a master illustrator. Everyone leaves with a smile and a sense of achievement!

What is the maximum group size you can handle?

We are very flexible! We can work with a single class of 20-30 students or run rotational sessions for a whole year group of 100+ pupils. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we can scale our staff to match your group size, ensuring every student gets enough hands-on time and individual guidance from a pro artist.

Do we need to pay anything in advance?

We understand that school budgets take time to process. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date. We believe in our service so much that we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee—you only pay after the workshop is completed and you're happy with the results. We can provide all the necessary invoices and paperwork for your school's administration.

The experience

Secondary school can be intense, and sometimes students just need a break from the books to express themselves. Here’s why a Graffitifun workshop is the ultimate addition to your school calendar:

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a massive piece of art come to life gives students a huge sense of accomplishment. 💪
Teaches Respect: We educate youth on the difference between art and vandalism, promoting respect for the local Oradea environment.
Safe & Professional: We use top-tier safety gear and professional artists who are great with teens. 🛡️
Team Spirit: Collaborative murals require communication and teamwork—vital skills for the future.
No Stress for Teachers: We handle everything from setup to cleanup. You just bring the students! ☕
Guaranteed Engagement: Let's be honest, spray painting is way more exciting than a standard art lesson! 🔥

Step by step

Introduction & History: We kick things off with a high-energy talk about the evolution of street art from NYC subways to Oradea's streets.
Safety & Gear: Students get kitted out in protective suits, gloves, and pro-grade masks while learning can-control safety.
Sketching the Vision: Before the paint flies, we help students brainstorm concepts and sketch their designs on paper.
Mastering the Can: Our artists demonstrate different 'caps' and techniques like flares, fades, and sharp outlines.
Individual Practice: Everyone gets their own space to practice basic lines and 'fills' to get comfortable with the pressure of the spray.
The Collective Mural: The group works together on a massive themed mural, learning how to layer colours and add 'highlights' and 'shadows'.
The 'Final Touch': Students add their personal tags or 'stamps' to the piece, finalising the artwork like true professionals.
Group Photos & Cleanup: We snap some epic photos of the class with their masterpiece before we handle all the site cleanup.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Oradea is world-famous for its breathtaking Art Nouveau architecture, but there's a growing modern pulse in the city's creative scene that your students are part of. By bringing a graffiti workshop to your school, you're bridging the gap between the historic beauty of the Black Eagle Palace and the contemporary urban expression found in modern Romania. We love connecting our art to the local vibe, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the city's unique pastel colours and intricate patterns. 🏛️

Fun Fact: Did you know Oradea is part of the Art Nouveau Network, alongside cities like Barcelona and Vienna? Our workshops encourage students to think about how modern graffiti can respect and complement this incredible local heritage! ✨
