Do we need any previous art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our networking events are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide you through every step, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering complex shading techniques. Most of our participants have never touched a spray can before, and they always leave amazed by what they have created. It’s all about the experience and connecting with others in a relaxed, fun environment! 🎨

How long does a typical networking event last?

Standard creative networking sessions in Kisumu usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This provides enough time for an initial icebreaker, a brief demonstration by our artists, the collaborative painting session, and plenty of time for professional networking while your masterpieces dry. We can also adjust the timing to fit into a larger conference schedule or evening mixer if required. ⏱️

Is the spray paint safe and what protective gear is provided?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your professional attire clean. We also prefer to host these events in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or large industrial halls. Our paint is professional-grade, and our instructors are trained to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all attendees. 💪

What is the payment policy for booking an event?

We believe in a hassle-free booking experience for the Kisumu business community. You do not need to pay anything upfront when booking your event. Payment is only settled after the workshop has taken place and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This ensures you can book with total confidence and peace of mind. 🏆

Can you host the networking event at our chosen venue?

We are extremely flexible! We can bring the street art experience to your office car park, a local Kisumu hotel garden, or a rented creative studio. If you don't have a venue, let us know—we have several 'hall of fame' spots and partner locations across the city where we can host your group safely and legally. 📍

What happens if the artist is unavailable on the day?

While we promote social connection and creativity, we take our professional commitment seriously. Graffitifun works with a large network of backup artists. In the unlikely event that your primary instructor is unavailable, a qualified backup artist will step in to ensure your event goes ahead exactly as planned. We haven't missed a beat in years! ✨

Do we get to keep the artwork we create?

Yes! That is one of the best parts. For networking events, we often work on individual canvases that participants can take home, or a large collaborative mural on board. If you create a large-scale piece, it makes for a fantastic vibrant addition to your office lobby or breakout room, serving as a lasting memory of the connections made. 🖼️

The experience

Why choose a graffiti-themed networking event in the lakeside city? It’s simple: traditional networking is often forgettable, but creating a mural together is an experience that sticks. Here is why Kisumu professionals are choosing the spray can: 🔥

Walls down, spirits up: Creative activities act as a natural equalizer, making it easier for CEOs and interns to chat while they paint.
Memorable brand building: Your guests won't just remember a conversation; they'll remember the masterpiece they helped create.
Perfect icebreaker: Forget the "what do you do?" cliché—start with "how do you get that cool dripping effect?" 🎤
Stress relief: Business can be high-pressure; spraying paint on a canvas is a fantastic way for your guests to unwind and have genuine fun.
Social media gold: These events are incredibly visual, providing your attendees (and your brand) with amazing content for their feeds. 📸
Professional guidance: Work with the best artists in the region who know how to coach even the most "non-artistic" people.

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your networking goals, group size in Kisumu, and the vibe you want to achieve.
Concept design: Our artists sketch a collaborative concept or 'tag' that represents your industry or team spirit.
Safety briefing: Upon arrival, everyone gets suited up in protective gear and learns the golden rules of spray painting.
Technique workshop: Learn the basics—lines, fills, and fades—before moving onto the main project.
Creative collaboration: This is where the networking happens! Participants work together on pieces, sparking natural conversation.
Final touches: Our pro artists help you refine your work, adding those sharp outlines that make the art pop.
Unveiling & photos: We celebrate the finished pieces with a group photo session—perfect for your company's LinkedIn or Instagram!

Our graffiti networking sessions are designed to be as seamless as possible for organisers:

Local culture

Kisumu is a city defined by its vibrant energy and "Dala" (home) spirit. From the bustling corridors of the West End Shopping Mall to the scenic sunsets at Dunga Hill Camp, there is a pulse of creativity here that is just waiting to be tapped into. Street art is a growing movement in Kenya, and bringing this urban culture to the lakeside city offers a unique bridge between Kisumu's traditional heritage and its modern, entrepreneurial future. 🇰🇪

Fun Fact: Did you know Kisumu is one of the oldest cities in Kenya? Its name comes from the Luo word 'Sumo', meaning a place to trade—making it the historical and spiritual home of networking in the region! 🎤

Hosting your networking event here means embracing the local "Kisumu City" pride. We love incorporating local motifs—like the iconic tilapia or the sails of a dhow—into our graffiti designs to ensure your event feels authentically rooted in the local culture while providing a world-class creative experience.
