Can my guests actually participate in the painting?

Absolutely! Our live painting performances in Kisumu are designed to be as immersive as possible. We encourage guests to pick up a spray can under the guidance of our professional artists. It’s a fantastic way to break the ice and let your guests feel like they are part of the creative process. Don't worry about the mess; we provide all the protective gear needed to keep everyone's outfits looking sharp!

Is live painting messy for an indoor event?

We are experts at keeping things tidy! We use high-quality drop cloths and specialized screening to ensure that the spray paint only goes where it is supposed to—on the canvas. If your event is indoors, we can use low-odour water-based paints to keep the air fresh. Our team handles the entire setup and pack-down, leaving your Kisumu venue exactly as we found it.

What kind of designs can the artists create?

The beauty of live painting is that it’s completely bespoke to your brand or theme. Whether you want a mural featuring the Kisumu skyline, a corporate logo, or a specific artistic concept, our artists will work with you beforehand to finalize a design. On the day, you’ll see that vision come to life in vibrant colour, right before your eyes!

How long does a live painting performance usually take?

Most live painting sessions in Kisumu last between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the complexity of the artwork and the schedule of your event. We can time the 'big reveal' of the finished piece to coincide with your keynote speech or final party sets. We are flexible and can work around your specific itinerary to ensure maximum impact.

How much space do you need for the setup?

The most common size is a large wooden or canvas panel (approx. 2x3 metres), but we can go much bigger if your space allows! We can also paint on unique surfaces like vehicles, furniture, or temporary walls. Let us know the dimensions of your Kisumu event space, and we will find the perfect canvas size to make a statement.

What happens if it rains during an outdoor event?

While we love the lakeside breeze, Kenya's weather can be unpredictable. If it rains, we simply need a covered area or a marquee to keep the artwork and the artist dry. If the wind picks up, we secure our boards firmly. We always have a backup plan ready so that the show goes on, regardless of the Kisumu clouds!

Instant engagement: People can't help but stop and watch the creative process unfold. It's a natural conversation starter! 🗣️
Social media magnet: Guests love filming the progress and taking selfies with the artist. It's instant "Instagrammable" content for your event. 📱
Custom branding: We can seamlessly weave your company colours and logos into the artwork for a powerful brand activation. 🚀
Unique souvenir: At the end of the night, you own a professional piece of art that can hang in your office or be auctioned for charity. 🏆
Interactive fun: We offer 'guest participation' options where your attendees can add their own touch to the mural. 💪

Step by step

Initial consultation: We chat about your Kisumu event theme, the vibe you want, and any specific branding requirements you have in mind.
Design conceptualisation: Our artists sketch out a digital mockup of the mural so you can see the direction we are headed before we even shake a can.
Logistics planning: We coordinate with your venue in Kisumu to handle floor protection, ventilation, and lighting needs for the performance.
On-site setup: Our team arrives early to set up the 'stage'—protecting the area and preparing the high-quality artist canvases.
Live performance begins: As your guests arrive, the artist starts the first layers, drawing people in with the satisfying sound and sight of spray art.
Interactive moments: If you've opted for it, we invite guests to add their own stamps or 'tags' to the piece, guided by our pros.
The finishing touches: During the climax of your event, the artist completes the fine details, resulting in a stunning, polished masterpiece.
Photo ops: The finished mural becomes the ultimate backdrop for guest photos and social media posts.
Post-event wrap: We can either leave the artwork with you as a permanent souvenir or arrange for its safe transport to your office.

Local culture

Kisumu is a city that breathes creativity, from the rhythmic pulses of Benga music to the vibrant markets of the CBD. We love bringing live painting here because the local community truly appreciates visual storytelling. Our artists often take inspiration from the stunning African sunsets over the Winam Gulf or the bustling energy of the city streets. 🌅

Fun Fact: Did you know Kisumu's name comes from the Luo word "Sumo," meaning a place of trade? We keep that spirit alive by 'trading' traditional entertainment for something much more dynamic and visual!

Whether you are looking for a performance in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, or Eldoret, our network of artists is ready to travel across Kenya to bring the heat to your doorstep. 🔥
