What exactly is a live painting performance?

A live painting performance is a high energy art show where a professional Graffitifun artist creates a large scale mural right in front of your guests. Unlike a static decoration, it provides ongoing entertainment as people watch the piece evolve from a blank surface to a finished masterpiece. It is perfect for weddings, corporate launches, or festivals in Kitale where you want to create a 'wow' factor.

What kind of surfaces can you paint on during an event?

We are flexible! Our artists can paint on large canvas murals, temporary wooden walls, or even objects like cars or shipping containers. If you are worried about the venue walls, we usually bring our own mobile surfaces so there is no permanent mark left behind. We just need a flat area and some good lighting to get the creative energy flowing.

How long does a live painting session usually last?

A standard live painting session in Kitale typically lasts between 2 to 4 hours. However, we can adapt to your schedule. If you have a full day festival, we can pace the artwork so it finishes just as the headline act starts. For shorter corporate mixers, we can work at a faster pace to ensure the big reveal happens before your guests head home.

Is it safe to have spray painting indoors at my event?

Safety is a huge priority for us. We use low odour spray paints and high quality acrylics whenever possible. If your event is indoors in Kitale, we ensure there is proper ventilation and use drop cloths to protect the flooring. Our artists are professionals who keep their workspace tidy, so you do not have to worry about a mess affecting your event decor or guests.

Can my guests interact with the artist while they work?

Absolutely! One of the best parts of live painting is the interaction. While the artist stays focused on the quality of the work, they love chatting with guests about the techniques and the inspiration behind the piece. It makes the art feel much more accessible and provides a great talking point for people who might be meeting for the first time at your function.

Do we get to keep the artwork after the event is finished?

Yes, that is the beauty of it! Once the event is over and the paint is dry, the artwork is yours to keep. Many of our Kitale clients hang the finished canvas in their office, shop, or community centre as a permanent memory of the day. It is a unique piece of custom decor that holds the energy of your specific event.

How much does a live painting performance cost in Kitale?

Pricing varies based on the duration of the event, the size of the artwork, and the specific materials required. Because every event in Kitale is unique, we prefer to give you a custom quote. This ensures you only pay for what you actually need. You can use our online cost calculator or send us a message for a quick, no obligation estimate.

Local culture

Kitale is a city of incredible growth and natural beauty, situated right in the heart of Trans Nzoia. While it is famous for its lush surroundings and the nearby Mount Elgon, the urban culture is quickly catching up with the greenery. We love bringing the urban edge of live painting to this scenic location, blending the modern energy of street art with the welcoming atmosphere of the local community. Whether you are holding an event near the Kitale Museum or a private party in the suburbs, our art fits right in.

Fun fact: Kitale is known as the agricultural basket of Kenya, and we find that the vibrant greens and earthy tones of the region often inspire the palettes our artists use during live sessions here!
