Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Our Suva pop-up events are designed for everyone, from those who can't draw a stick figure to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic spray techniques and safety. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you pick up the skills to create something you’re proud of. It’s all about having fun and letting your imagination run wild in a supportive environment.

What equipment is provided in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day. This includes high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gloves, masks, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that’s a professional-grade board, a communal wall, or individual canvases. You just need to show up with some creative energy and comfortable shoes!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority at Graffitifun. We use high-quality, low-odour spray paints whenever possible and provide all necessary safety gear, including FFP2 masks and gloves. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor or large indoor spaces to ensure proper airflow. Our graffiti artists are also trained in safety protocols to make sure everyone has a blast without any risks.

How long does a typical pop-up session last?

The duration depends on the specific event setup in Suva, but typically our pop-up workshops last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your masterpiece. We ensure the pace is energetic and engaging, so there’s never a dull moment from the first spray to the final photo op.

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

We’re flexible! Our pop-up events can be tailored for small intimate groups of 10 or large-scale festival crowds of hundreds. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we can scale the experience to meet your needs. Whether it's a small gathering at a Suva cafe or a massive brand activation at the foreshore, we’ve got the manpower to handle it.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

While we love the sunshine of Viti Levu, we always have a plan B. For our Suva events, we typically arrange for marquee cover or have alternative indoor gallery spaces available if the tropical rain decides to join the party. We’ll coordinate with you to ensure the workshop goes ahead safely and comfortably, regardless of the weather. Your creative flow won't be stopped by a few raindrops!

How do I book and when do I pay?

Booking is easy and risk-free. You can request a free quote through our website using our Cost Calculator or contact form. Since we don't require upfront payments, you can secure your date with peace of mind. You only pay after the workshop is complete and you’re 100% satisfied with the experience. We make the admin side as 'no-stress' as a day at the beach!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next Suva event? Because standard workshops are a bit... well, beige. We bring the neon, the noise, and the non-stop fun! Here’s why our street art experience is a total game-changer:

🔥 Break the ice: Nothing brings people together like the shared thrill of "vandalising" a (legal) wall!
🎨 Unlock hidden talent: You’ll be amazed at the masterpieces your team can create with just a little guidance.
💪 Zero stress booking: No upfront payments and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We make it easy!
🏆 Professional vibes: Our artists aren't just talented; they're expert facilitators who know how to keep the energy high.
✨ Unique memories: Ditch the standard PowerPoint and give your guests a story they’ll be telling for years.
🚀 Interactive tools: Use our Tag Creator to prep your designs before we even meet on the day!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy kick-off where our artists share the history of street art and show you some incredible local Suva-inspired designs.
Safety first: Everyone gets geared up with protective masks, gloves, and overalls. We’ll show you how to handle the cans like a pro.
Can control 101: Learn the basics—how to make thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients. It’s harder than it looks but easier than you think!
Sketching the vision: Use chalk to outline your concept on the surface. Our artists will help you refine your ideas and scale them up.
First layers: Start filling in your piece with vibrant colours, learning how to blend and layer for that professional "pop."
Adding the details: This is where the magic happens—sharpening edges, adding highlights, and making your tag stand out.
Final masterpiece: Step back and admire the collective work. We’ll do a final group walkthrough and take plenty of photos for the 'gram.
The big reveal: Celebrate your new skills! If you worked on individual canvases, they’re yours to take home and show off.

Local culture

Suva is a city of incredible contrasts—where colonial history meets a vibrant, modern Pacific heartbeat. While the city is known for its lush gardens and the iconic Fiji Museum, there is an emerging contemporary art scene tucked away in its colourful streets and university precincts. Our workshops celebrate this mix, encouraging participants to blend traditional Fijian motifs with modern urban styles.

Fun fact: Did you know that the "Garden City" of Suva is home to some of the most vibrant mural projects in the Pacific? Local artists are increasingly using walls near the Suva Point area to tell stories of climate resilience and cultural pride!

By bringing our pop-up event to Suva, we aim to contribute to this growing creative movement. We love the energy of the capital—it’s the perfect backdrop for a day of spray paint, music, and community spirit. 🎨
