Do the students need to have any prior drawing or art skills?

No prior artistic experience is needed at all! Our workshops are designed to take students from 'never held a spray can' to 'proud street artist' in just one session. Our professional artists break down the process into easy, manageable steps, ensuring every student in Suva feels confident and successful. We focus on technique, safety, and most importantly, having a blast while being creative.

What safety measures and protective gear do you provide?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls for every student and teacher. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always conduct sessions in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large halls. Our artists are trained in safety protocols and will supervise the group closely throughout the entire experience in Suva.

What surfaces do the students actually paint on?

The beauty of graffiti is its versatility! We can work on large collective wooden boards, individual canvases that students can take home, or even a designated school wall if you have the permits. Most secondary schools in Suva choose the collective board option as it creates a lasting piece of art for the school grounds, but we can customise the surface to fit your specific project goals.

Can we choose a specific theme for the mural or workshop?

Absolutely! We love it when schools have a specific theme, such as 'Climate Action', 'Community Spirit', or 'School Values'. Just let us know your ideas in advance, and our artists will help the students translate those concepts into vibrant graffiti lettering and imagery. It’s a fantastic way to combine art with other subjects like social studies or environmental science.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A typical secondary school workshop in Suva lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for a safety briefing, technique practice, sketching, and the final execution of the mural. We can adjust the timing slightly to fit into your school’s double-period blocks or special activity days. We aim for a pace that is energetic but never rushed.

Do we need to pay anything upfront to secure a booking?

We make things as easy as possible for Suva schools. There is no upfront payment or deposit required to book your date. We believe in our service and want you to feel completely comfortable. You simply pay after the workshop is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. It’s all part of our commitment to a stress-free booking process.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Rain is no problem! We always have a 'plan B'. If the Suva weather doesn't play ball, we can move the workshop under a large canopy, into a well-ventilated gymnasium, or use a covered outdoor area. Our artists are flexible and experienced in adapting to different environments, ensuring the creative flow isn't interrupted by a tropical downpour.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your students in Suva? Because it’s the ultimate way to engage even the most "too cool for school" teenagers! Here’s why our workshops are a hit in the capital:

Boosts confidence: Seeing a giant mural come to life from their own hands gives students a massive sense of achievement. 💪
Safe rebellion: We teach how to express creativity legally and professionally, steering energy into positive artistic outlets. 🔥
Inclusion for all: You don't need to be an "art person" to enjoy this—it’s tactile, physical, and accessible to everyone. 🎤
Team synergy: Our collective mural projects require communication and coordination, perfect for year-group bonding. 🤝
Professional mentors: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active creators who inspire students with real-world talent. 🏆

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We kick things off with a high-energy look at the history of street art and how it evolved from subculture to global art form.
Safety first: Every student gets kitted out with professional masks, gloves, and protective clothing. We explain the 'do's and don'ts' of spray painting.
Mastering the nozzle: Students learn the basics of can control, discovering how different caps and pressures create different lines and effects.
Sketching the vision: Before hitting the 'wall', we move to paper. Students sketch out their tags or the collective mural design, planning their colours.
Outline & fill: Under the guidance of our pros, students begin applying the base layers and 'fills' to their chosen surface.
The details: This is where the magic happens! We teach cutting-edge techniques for highlights, shadows, and crisp outlines to make the art pop.
The finishing touch: We step back and add those final flourishes that turn a project into a professional-looking masterpiece.
Group photo & cleanup: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo in front of the art, followed by a thorough pack-up of all materials.

Local culture

Suva is the beating heart of Fiji’s cultural scene, and we love tapping into that energy! From the colourful stalls of the Suva Municipal Market to the historic vibes of the Fiji Museum, this city is full of visual stories. While traditional art has its place, the secondary school students of Suva are increasingly looking for modern ways to express their unique Pacific identity. Our workshops allow them to merge global street art styles with local Fijian flair. ✨

Fun fact: Did you know that the word 'graffiti' comes from the Italian word 'graffiato', meaning 'scratched'? While we prefer spraying to scratching, the spirit of leaving a permanent mark remains the same!

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing students in Suva transform simple plywood boards into incredible tributes to their school houses and local community, proving that Fiji’s next generation of artists is ready to take the world by storm. 🎨
