Do students need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely! Our university workshops in Suva are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists start with the basics—handling the spray can, nozzle control, and safety—before moving on to layering and shading. You don't need to be an 'artist' to have a blast; we provide all the guidance and templates you need to walk away with a piece you're proud of. It’s all about the experience and trying something new!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

Standard university sessions usually run between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, technique practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural or individual canvases. If you're planning a massive campus festival or a quick ice-breaker between lectures, we can customise the timing to fit your specific schedule. Just let us know what works best for your Suva event!

Is the spray paint safe, and do you provide protective gear?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality face masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean and your lungs safe. We also use low-odour professional spray paint whenever possible and prefer to work in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large halls. Our instructors are trained to manage groups safely, ensuring everyone has a fun, risk-free creative session right here in Suva.

Can the workshop be held directly on our university campus?

We’re flexible! We can come directly to your campus in Suva if there’s a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated indoor area where we can set up our mobile plastic sheeting and boards. Alternatively, we can help arrange a local creative space. Whether it's a car park, a courtyard, or a sports field, we bring everything required to transform the space into a temporary street art studio.

What is the maximum group size for a Suva student event?

We love big groups! Our workshops are perfect for university societies, halls of residence, or entire departments. For very large numbers, we provide extra graffiti artists to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and hands-on spray time. We also have a 'backup artist' system in place, so your event is guaranteed to go ahead even if someone falls ill. No student group is too big for us!

Do we need to pay for the workshop in advance?

Not at all! One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no upfront payment' policy. You can book your Suva university workshop today to secure your date, and you only pay after the session is completed and you're 100% satisfied with the experience. This makes it much easier for student unions or club treasurers to manage their budgets without the stress of immediate deposits.

Can we choose a specific theme for our mural?

Definitely! We encourage student groups to choose a theme that represents their society, their university, or a specific social cause. Whether you want to spray-paint your club's logo or create a mural about sustainability, our artists will help you design something meaningful. It’s a fantastic way to build campus identity while learning a cool new skill. Just share your ideas with us during the booking process!

Ultimate stress relief: Nothing beats the therapeutic hiss of a spray can to clear the mind after a week of tough tutorials. ✨

Instagrammable content: Let’s be real—your students will love the photo ops. A vibrant mural is the perfect backdrop for campus social media. 📸
Zero financial risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy, student unions can book with total confidence.
Expert guidance: Our backup artist guarantee means your Suva event will never be cancelled due to a flu—the show always goes on! 🏆
Pacific pride: We help students incorporate local Suva motifs and Fijian patterns into their street art designs for a unique fusion of styles.

Step by step

Initial enquiry: Reach out via our contact form or quote tool. Let us know your student group size and preferred dates in Suva.
Design consultation: We'll chat about your vision—whether it's a collaborative mural, individual canvases, or a specific theme like 'Student Life'.
Setup & prep: On the day, our team arrives early at your Suva campus to set up protective flooring, boards, and all the gear.
Safety & theory: We kick things off with a quick intro to graffiti history and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment.
Nozzle techniques: Students get hands-on with the cans, learning 'fat' and 'skinny' lines, dots, and gradients on practice boards.
The big project: Under expert guidance, the group starts layering their design, filling in colours, and adding those sharp outlines.
Final touches: Our artists help you add highlights and crisp edges to make the artwork really pop for the final photos.
Cleanup & pack down: We leave the space exactly as we found it (except for the amazing new art!), taking all waste and cans with us.

Local culture

Suva is the beating heart of Fiji’s cultural and academic life, home to a diverse and passionate student population. From the sprawling grounds of the University of the South Pacific (USP) to the bustling energy of Victoria Parade, the city is a melting pot of tradition and modern Pacific vibes. While Suva is famous for its lush greenery and colonial architecture, the rising interest in contemporary street art is adding a fresh, urban layer to the city’s identity. Bringing a graffiti workshop to Suva isn't just about art; it’s about connecting with the local "Bula" spirit through a modern, creative lens.

Fun Fact: Did you know Suva experiences over 3,000mm of rain a year? That’s why our workshops are designed to be flexible—we can set up under cover or in ventilated halls to ensure the creative vibes keep flowing even when a tropical shower passes through! 🌦️
