Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! The safety of your pupils is our number one priority. We use high-quality spray paints that are low in odour and meet strict safety standards. Every child is provided with a protective suit, gloves, and a mask to ensure they stay clean and safe. Our professional artists are highly experienced in managing large groups of children, providing constant supervision and clear instructions throughout the entire session.🎨

Where do the workshops take place in Takoradi?

We are completely flexible! We can bring the workshop to your school playground in Takoradi, or we can arrange a session at a local creative space. If we do it at your school, we take care of all the floor and wall protection to ensure we leave the premises exactly as we found them. All we need is a bit of outdoor space and some enthusiastic young artists!✨

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Our standard school workshops typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives the children enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their lettering, and eventually contribute to a large-scale mural or their own individual canvases. We can easily adapt the schedule to fit into your school’s morning or afternoon timetable without any hassle. bit of outdoor space and some enthusiastic young artists!⏱️

What is the maximum group size for a school event?

We believe every child should have the chance to be creative, so we cater to both small classes and entire year groups. For larger groups, we often work in rotation or bring along extra professional artists to ensure every student gets plenty of individual attention and guidance. Our goal is to make sure everyone feels involved and inspired, regardless of the group size.👥

Do the children need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. Our artists are expert teachers who break down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Whether a child is already a budding Picasso or has never held a spray can before, they will be amazed at what they can create by the end of the session. It’s all about building confidence!🚀

What materials do we need to provide?

We’ve got you covered! We provide everything: premium spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gear (suits, gloves, masks), professional-grade canvases or mural boards, and all necessary cleaning supplies. You don't need to worry about a thing; our team arrives fully prepared so the teachers can sit back and enjoy the creative energy along with the students.🎒

Can the students keep their artwork after the workshop?

The best part is that the children get to keep their work! If they choose to work on individual canvases, they can take those home the same day to show their families. If the school commissions a large collective mural, it can be proudly displayed in the hallway or playground as a lasting legacy of the children's creativity and teamwork. It’s a great way to brighten up the school!🏆

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your pupils? It’s more than just "drawing on walls"—it’s a powerful educational tool that resonates with kids of all backgrounds. Here’s why Takoradi schools are loving our sessions:

🔥 Boosts Confidence: Seeing a giant, colourful piece of art they created themselves gives kids a massive sense of pride.
💡 Unlocks Creativity: It encourages children who might struggle with traditional "fine art" to find their own style.
🤝 Teaches Teamwork: Working on a shared mural requires communication, planning, and supporting one another.
💪 Physical Engagement: Getting outside and moving around while painting is a great way to burn off energy in a productive way.
🏆 Professional Mentors: Our artists aren't just talented; they are positive role models who love sharing their passion.
✨ Stress-Free for Teachers: We handle all the setup, clean-up, and safety, so you can just enjoy the results!

Step by step

Intro and demo: Our pro artists start with a high-energy demo, showing the kids what's possible with a spray can.
Safety briefing: We suit everyone up in protective gear and explain the "golden rules" of safe and respectful street art.
Sketching ideas: Students grab paper and markers to map out their tags and designs before touching the walls.
Nozzle control: The kids learn the "secret" techniques: how to hold the can, control the pressure, and swap nozzles for different effects.
Practice runs: Everyone gets a chance to spray their first lines and shapes on practice boards to build up their confidence.
The main event: It’s time to create! Students work on their individual canvases or start filling in the school’s big mural project.
Final touches: Our artists help the kids add those professional highlights and sharp outlines that make the art pop.
The big reveal: We step back, admire the colourful masterpiece, and take plenty of group photos to celebrate the achievement!

Good to know

We’ve structured our workshops to be as stress-free as possible for schools. Here are the nitty-gritty details you need to know:

Duration: Flexible sessions ranging from 90 minutes to a full school day.
Group Sizes: We can accommodate anything from a single class of 20 to an entire school of 200 through rotating sessions.
What's Included: All spray paint, protective suits, gloves, masks, canvases/boards, and expert tuition.
Safety: Full risk assessments provided; all artists are vetted and experienced in working with children.
Weather: We can work outdoors under gazebos or bring the fun indoors with specialized low-spray techniques if needed!

Local culture

Takoradi is a city known for its vibrant energy and coastal charm, and we love bringing that local spirit into our workshops. While the city is famous for its "Masquerade" festivals and colourful street parades, we’re adding a modern "Twin City" twist with our urban art sessions. Whether we’re setting up near the bustling Market Circle or at a quiet school garden near the coast, the creative atmosphere of Takoradi never fails to inspire the younger generation.

Fun Fact: Did you know Takoradi is often called the "Twin City" because it merged with Sekondi? Our workshops celebrate this unity by teaching kids how individual "tags" come together to create one giant, harmonious mural! 🇬🇭
