Do I need any prior art experience to join the retreat?

No artist skills? No problem! Our retreat workshops in Szombathely are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists will guide you through every single step, from holding the spray can correctly to mastering complex shading techniques. We focus on the 'fun' in fundamental skills, ensuring everyone walks away with a piece of art they are genuinely proud of. It's all about the joy of creation, not perfection!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. We use professional-grade spray paint, and our artists conduct a full safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor or indoor locations in Szombathely to ensure a comfortable and healthy environment for all participants throughout the creative session.

What should I wear to the graffiti workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of 'stray' dust on, even though we provide full protective gear. It's best to avoid your brand-new designer trainers! Since Szombathely weather can vary, bringing an extra layer for outdoor sessions is a smart move. Other than that, just bring your enthusiasm and perhaps some inspiration for your first tag!

How long does a typical session last?

A standard graffiti retreat workshop in Szombathely usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of your final masterpiece. If you are looking for a more intensive full-day 'deep dive' experience, we can certainly arrange that! We are flexible and can tailor the duration to fit your group's specific schedule and goals.

Can you host the workshop at our specific retreat venue?

We are very flexible! While we have our favourite creative spots around Szombathely, we can also bring the 'Street Art Retreat' to you. If you have a garden, a courtyard, or an indoor space with adequate ventilation, our mobile team can set up the entire workshop there. This is a popular choice for corporate retreats or private garden parties where you want to keep the group in one location.

Can we create one large piece of art together?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. You can choose to work on individual canvases to take home, or we can set up a massive shared wall where your entire group contributes to one giant, cohesive mural. This is a fantastic way to symbolise teamwork and shared vision during a retreat. Many of our clients in Szombathely love the 'big picture' approach for the sense of collective achievement.

How do I book and what are the payment terms?

Booking is simple and risk-free with Graffitifun. You can contact us via our website for a custom quote. We don't require upfront payments—you simply pay after the workshop is completed and you're 100% satisfied. We also have backup artists ready to go, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation. We make the planning process as stress-free as the workshop itself!

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next retreat in Szombathely? Because nothing breaks down barriers like a spray can in your hand! Here is why we are the top choice for a creative escape:

Stress-melting creativity: Forget the "zoom fatigue." Spraying graffiti is a tactile, meditative, and incredibly satisfying way to de-stress. 🧘‍♂️
Epic team bonding: Collaborate on a massive mural that represents your brand or group values—true teamwork in action! 🤝
Zero ego, all art: Graffiti is a great leveller. Whether you're the CEO or an intern, everyone starts with a blank canvas and a fresh cap.
Professional guidance: Our artists aren't just talented; they are amazing teachers who make sure everyone feels like a pro. 🎤
Unique souvenirs: Take your canvases back to the office or home as a permanent reminder of your Szombathely adventure! 🏆

Step by step

Arrival and vibe check: Meet your professional artist at the designated Szombathely creative spot. We'll start with a quick intro to the world of street art.
Safety first: Get geared up! We provide your mask, gloves, and suit. Safety is cool, and we make sure everyone is protected before the paint starts flowing.
The basics of the can: Learn how to control the pressure, change nozzles (caps), and create different line widths. It's all in the wrist!
Sketching your vision: Brainstorm your design. Whether it's a personal tag or a group mural, we'll help you sketch out the blueprint on your canvas or wall.
Filling and fading: This is where the colour comes in. Learn how to fill large areas and create those iconic graffiti gradients and fades.
The outline: Sharpen your design by adding the 'first' and 'second' outlines. This makes your artwork pop and gives it that professional street art look.
Highlights and details: Add the finishing touches—shine, sparkles, or 'force fields'—to give your piece depth and character.
The big reveal: Step back and admire the collective work. It's time for a group photo with your masterpieces against the Szombathely backdrop!
Reflect and relax: Wrap up the session with a chat about the creative process. You’ve just successfully completed your urban retreat!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Szombathely, one of the oldest cities in Hungary, is a place where Roman history meets contemporary flair. Known for its Savaria heritage, the city has a unique atmosphere that inspires creativity. While the ruins of the past are preserved with care, the local youth culture and art scene are constantly evolving. Our workshops tap into this energy, offering a modern way to engage with the city's artistic side. 🏛️

Fun Fact: Did you know Szombathely is often called the "Queen of the West"? It’s the perfect place to feel like royalty while you're mastering the "kings" and "queens" of the graffiti world!

We often host our sessions near vibrant local hubs or even in private gardens of the city’s beautiful villas, ensuring you get a true taste of Szombathely's local charm while you spray. Exploring the street art scene here reveals a city that isn't afraid to blend its deep history with fresh, colourful expressions. 🇭🇺
