Is spray painting safe for children and teenagers?

The safety of your campers is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. Our professional artists are trained in workshop safety management, and we always work in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared spaces. We use low-odour, high-quality spray paint to ensure the most comfortable environment for the young creators in Szombathely.

Do the kids need any previous artistic experience?

Absolutely not! Our Szombathely summer camp workshops are designed for all skill levels. Most kids have never touched a spray can before they meet us. Our artists break down the process into easy, manageable steps—from basic lines to advanced shading. By the end of the session, even the most hesitant participants are shocked by the professional-looking masterpiece they helped create. It is all about building confidence!

What materials do we need to provide for the workshop?

We bring everything needed for a legendary street art session! This includes a massive range of premium spray colours, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' itself—whether that is a large wooden wall, individual canvases, or even a legal local wall. You just need to provide the space and enthusiastic campers. We even handle the setup and the intensive cleanup afterwards.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard creative session usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a safety briefing, some initial practice on cardboard, and the completion of a large-scale collective mural or individual pieces. We can easily adapt the duration to fit into your specific Szombathely camp schedule, whether you want an intensive morning session or a full-day creative takeover.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are super flexible! We can host workshops for small groups of 10 or large-scale events for over 100 campers. For larger groups, we bring in additional professional artists from our team to ensure every child gets personal guidance and stays engaged. We maintain a high artist-to-student ratio so that the quality of the experience remains top-notch, regardless of the group size.

What happens if it rains on the day of the camp?

No worries at all! We have plenty of 'Plan B' options. If the Szombathely weather turns sour, we can move the workshop under a large marquee or work on smaller canvases in a well-ventilated indoor sports hall or classroom using water-based paint markers. Because we have a large team of backup artists, your scheduled date is secure—we never cancel due to artist illness.

Are there educational benefits to a graffiti workshop?

Our primary goal is to provide a fun, creative outlet, but the skills learned go much deeper. Participants develop fine motor skills, learn about colour theory and composition, and practice collaborative teamwork. It is also a fantastic way to discuss the difference between illegal vandalism and street art as a professional career path, encouraging kids to respect public spaces while finding their own voice.

Confidence Building: We help kids turn a blank space into a masterpiece, proving that with the right technique, they can achieve anything.
Teamwork in Action: Creating a large mural requires communication, planning, and collective effort—perfect for camp bonding. 🤝
Zero Stress for Organisers: We bring everything, manage the whole session, and clean up. You just sit back and watch the magic happen.

No Cancellation Risks: With our large pool of backup artists, your camp activity is guaranteed to go ahead as planned.

Step by step

The introduction: We kick things off with a high-energy intro about the history of street art and a vital safety briefing.
First sketches: Campers grab paper and markers to brainstorm their 'tag' or a collective theme for the camp mural.
Can control: Under expert guidance, everyone learns the 'caps and pressure' technique to master lines, dots, and fades.
Outline phase: We move to the big wall! Participants start sketching the basic shapes of the masterpiece in Szombathely.
Fill-in fun: This is where the colour happens! Kids work together to fill the designs with vibrant, popping spray paint.
Cutting and highlights: Our artists show the campers how to add sharp outlines and white highlights to make the art 'jump' off the wall.
Character details: We add the finishing touches—shadows, stencils, or cool background effects to wrap up the piece.
The big reveal: We step back, admire the work, and take epic group photos with the finished street art creation.
Clean-up: We pack up all the gear and leave the site spotless, leaving only the beautiful new artwork behind.

Local culture

Szombathely is a city where ancient Roman history meets modern Hungarian life, providing the perfect backdrop for a contemporary art explosion. While the city is famous for its Savaria heritage, the youth culture here is vibrant and hungry for modern creative outlets. We love bringing our workshops to this part of Hungary, where the local spirit is always welcoming to new ideas.

Fun Fact: Szombathely is known as the oldest city in Hungary! By introducing 21st-century graffiti art to these historic surroundings, we create a beautiful bridge between the city's long-standing traditions and its future generation of creators.

Whether your camp is held near the Boating Lake or closer to the bustling city centre, we can adapt our setup to suit the local Szombathely atmosphere. Our artists often draw inspiration from local landmarks, blending traditional Hungarian motifs with urban spray-paint styles to create something truly unique for the kids. ✨
