Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional instructors start every session with a thorough safety briefing, explaining how to handle the spray cans correctly. We also ensure that the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated area, making it a safe and controlled environment for young people to explore their creativity.

Do the participants need to have prior art skills?

No previous experience or artistic talent is required! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Our artists are experts at breaking down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the 'fun' aspect of street art, encouraging everyone to find their own style. Whether they've never held a spray can or are already sketching in secret, every participant will create something they are proud of.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art session. This includes a wide variety of professional spray paint colours, protective clothing (to keep those trainers clean!), gloves, respiratory masks, and the canvases or surfaces we'll be painting on. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and perhaps some old clothes just in case—spray paint is permanent, after all!

How long does a typical session last?

A standard youth project workshop in Szombathely typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, safety talk, technique practice on plastic film, and then the creation of the final masterpiece. We find this timing is perfect for keeping energy levels high without the participants getting tired, ensuring they stay engaged and excited throughout the process.

What is the cost for a youth group workshop?

Our pricing in Szombathely usually ranges from Ft8,000 to Ft18,000 per person. The final cost depends on the number of participants, the duration of the workshop, and the specific materials or location requirements. We don't require any upfront payment—you only pay after the workshop is completed and everyone is happy. For an exact price for your specific group, just request a custom quote!

Can the workshop be held at our own location?

Yes, we are very flexible! While we have great locations we work with, we can also bring the graffiti experience to your school, community centre, or youth club in Szombathely. We use mobile "graffiti walls" (heavy-duty stretch foil) to ensure there is no mess left behind on your property. This allows us to set up an authentic street art studio virtually anywhere with sufficient ventilation.

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy intro about the culture and history of graffiti art.
Safety first: Everyone gets geared up with masks and gloves while learning the essential 'dos and don’ts' of spray painting.
Mastering the nozzle: Our pros demonstrate how to control the spray, from fine lines to broad fills.
Sketching the vision: Participants brainstorm their designs, choosing colours and styles that represent their message.
Practice run: We start on practice surfaces to get the feel of the pressure and distance needed for a clean look.
The main event: It’s time to hit the wall or canvas! The youth group begins layering their individual or collaborative pieces.
Refining the details: We teach 'cut-ins' and highlighting techniques to make the artwork really pop.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the finished masterpiece—a perfect moment for social media!
Cleanup and wrap-up: We pack up the gear, leaving behind only the incredible art and great holiday memories.

Local culture

Szombathely, the oldest city in Hungary, is a place where Roman ruins meet a buzzing modern lifestyle. While Savaria (as it was once known) is famous for its history, the local youth culture is looking toward the future. Bringing a graffiti project here is the perfect way to bridge that gap between tradition and modern urban expression. We love the energy of the Main Square and the creative vibes found near the Iseum. 🏛️

Fun Fact: Did you know Szombathely was a major hub on the ancient Amber Road? Today, we're swapping the amber for spray cans and creating a new kind of 'road'—a trail of incredible street art! 🔥

From the lush parks to the industrial edges of the city, Szombathely offers a fantastic canvas for young people to express what their city means to them today. We are proud to contribute to the local creative scene, giving the next generation the tools to beautify their world. 🇭🇺
