Is the workshop safe for secondary school students?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and professional-grade masks for every student. Our artists start every session with a comprehensive safety briefing, explaining how to handle the spray cans correctly and maintain a safe distance from others. We ensure the environment is well-ventilated and supervised at all times so everyone can focus on having a blast while staying totally safe.

Where do the workshops actually take place?

We offer total flexibility! We can provide a mobile setup right on your school grounds in Szombathely, or we can host you at one of our nearby legal graffiti zones. If we come to you, we use protective floor coverings and temporary wooden panels or cling-film 'walls' to ensure no permanent damage is done to school property. It’s all about creating professional art in a controlled, safe environment.

Do students need to have prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels. Whether a student is a natural-born Picasso or has never even touched a marker, our professional artists guide them through every step. We focus on basic techniques first—like making lines and dots—before moving on to more complex designs. It’s amazing to see how much confidence students gain in just a few hours of spraying.

How long does a typical session last?

We usually recommend allowing about 2 to 3 hours for the full experience. This gives the group enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their techniques, and complete a final masterpiece they can be proud of. If you have a specific school timetable to stick to, just let us know! We’re happy to tailor the timing to fit your lesson blocks or activity days.

What materials are included in the package?

We provide everything except the students! This includes premium spray paint in a huge range of colours, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' (which could be boards, a wall, or even individual canvases). We also bring sketches and inspiration materials. We recommend students wear old shoes just in case, but otherwise, we’ve got all the technical bits and pieces completely covered for you.

What are the educational benefits of street art?

Graffiti is a brilliant tool for teaching teamwork, confidence, and creative problem-solving. It encourages students to express themselves in a way traditional art classes might not. Plus, working on a large-scale mural requires communication and collaboration. It’s a fantastic mood-booster that helps build a positive school culture while giving students a sense of ownership over their creative output. It's education, but way cooler!

Step by step

Introduction & History: We start with a high-energy intro, diving into the fascinating origins of graffiti and street art culture.
Safety First: Everyone gets geared up in protective suits and masks while we cover the essential 'do's and don'ts' of spray painting.
Mastering the Can: Students learn the basics—how to hold the can, control pressure, and create different effects like 'fades' and 'drips'.
Sketching the Vision: Before hitting the wall, we work on paper to plan out the tags, 'throwies', and characters the group wants to create.
Outline & Fill: This is where the magic happens! Students start applying their designs to the main surface, focusing on bold outlines and vibrant fills.
Adding Details: We teach the tricks of the trade, like highlights and '3D' effects, to make the artwork really pop off the surface.
The Final Clean-up: We add the finishing touches and sharp outlines to ensure the collective mural looks professional and polished.
Photo Op & Debrief: We celebrate the hard work with a group photo session and a quick chat about the skills learned during the day.

Local culture

Szombathely isn't just one of Hungary’s oldest cities; it's a place where Roman ruins meet a vibrant, modern heartbeat. From the iconic Main Square to the buzzing energy during the Savaria Historical Carnival, this city knows how to celebrate culture. Our graffiti workshops tap into that local pride, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the city's unique mix of ancient history and contemporary life. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Szombathely is often called the 'Queen of the West'? While the city is famous for its Roman heritage, there's a growing underground art scene that we love being a part of. We’re helping Szombathely's youth prove that 'old' doesn't mean 'boring' by injecting some serious colour into the local community! 🔥
