Do participants need any prior art experience to join?

Absolutely! Our professional graffiti artists are there to guide everyone, from complete beginners to naturally gifted artists. We provide all the necessary techniques and safety instructions so that every participant can contribute meaningfully to the charity artwork. It's not about being a gallery pro; it's about coming together as a community in Szombathely to create something impactful for a great cause. Everyone leaves with a smile and a sense of achievement.

How do you handle safety and cleanliness during the event?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep everyone clean and safe. Our spray paints are selected for their quality and we always ensure the venue—whether indoor or outdoor—has proper ventilation. Our artists are seasoned pros who oversee the entire process, making sure the environment remains fun, creative, and completely secure for all involved.

Can we host the charity event at our own venue?

We are incredibly flexible! Whether you want to host your fundraiser at a local community centre in Szombathely, a school yard, or a private corporate space, we can make it work. If you don't have a venue, let us know—we have experience scouting the best spots for street art projects and can help you find a location that fits your group size and vision.

What is the typical duration of a graffiti charity session?

A standard charity graffiti workshop usually lasts between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the group plenty of time to learn basic spray painting techniques, practice their 'tags', and then work together on the final masterpiece or mural. We can also adapt the schedule to fit into a larger fundraising gala or community festival if you need a shorter, high-impact activity.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

Everything is included! When you book with Graffitifun, we provide the spray cans, caps, protective clothing, masks, and the canvases or surfaces. We also bring a selection of sketches and design ideas based on your charity's theme. You don't need to worry about a thing—just bring your energy and your commitment to the cause, and we'll handle the logistics.

What happens to the artwork created during the fundraiser?

One of the best parts about our charity events is that you get to keep the final artwork! Many organisations choose to auction off the resulting canvases to raise further funds, while others display the mural in their headquarters or gift it to the beneficiary. It serves as a vibrant, lasting reminder of the community spirit and the funds raised during the day.

How many people can participate in a single event?

We believe 'the more, the merrier!' We can accommodate small groups of 10 or large-scale community events with over 100 participants. For very large groups, we bring in additional backup artists to ensure everyone gets hands-on time and professional guidance. Just let us know your expected numbers, and we will scale the materials and staff accordingly to ensure a smooth, fun experience.

Safety Briefing: On the day, we kick off with a quick talk about how to use the gear and keep the Szombathely venue clean.
Technique Training: Participants learn the 'cans and don'ts'—everything from nozzle control to creating clean lines and fades.
Practice Session: Everyone gets a chance to test their skills on practice boards before moving to the main project.
Collaborative Painting: Under the guidance of our pros, the group works together to fill in the charity mural or individual canvases.
Final Details: Our artists add those professional finishing touches—sharp outlines and highlights—to make the artwork pop.

Local culture

Szombathely, known for its rich Roman heritage as Savaria, is a city that beautifully blends ancient history with a modern, creative pulse. Hosting a charity event here means tapping into a community that values both tradition and innovation. We love bringing street art to the streets of Vas County, adding a splash of contemporary culture to the local landscape. Whether your event is held near the Main Square or closer to the Csónakázó-tó, the local atmosphere is always inspiring.

Fun Fact: Szombathely is one of the oldest recorded cities in Hungary, founded in 45 AD! While the Romans used mosaics to tell their stories, we use spray cans to tell yours. 🏛️

Looking for other creative ways to use graffiti in Hungary? We also host events in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, and Miskolc!
