Do we need any previous drawing experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic skills are needed. Our Grevenmacher workshop is designed for beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide everyone from the very first spray, teaching the basics of can control, lines, and shading. Whether you are a budding Picasso or have never held a spray can, we guarantee you will walk away with a piece of art you are proud of. It’s all about having fun and being creative!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for children?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, as well as protective suits and gloves to keep clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially equipped indoor spaces. All our instructors are experienced professionals who ensure that the spray cans are handled safely and responsibly throughout the entire session. We make sure the environment is both creative and secure.

What should attendees wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and old shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on. Although we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy! It’s best to leave the designer gear at home and opt for something practical. If the workshop is outdoors near the Moselle, check the weather forecast and dress accordingly for the temperature.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard school holiday workshop in Grevenmacher usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of street art, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale piece or individual canvases. We find this timing is perfect to keep energy levels high and creativity flowing without anyone getting tired. Custom durations are also available upon request!

What is the minimum or maximum group size?

We can accommodate groups of almost any size! For school holiday programmes, we often work with small groups of 10 or larger gatherings of up to 50 or more. To ensure everyone gets enough individual attention and spray time, we bring along additional professional artists for larger groups. This ensures the quality of the experience remains top-notch regardless of how many people join the fun.

What kind of spray paint do you use?

We use premium, high-pressure spray paint designed specifically for street art. This paint is vibrant, fast-drying, and durable. We also provide a wide variety of 'caps' (nozzles) that allow for different line widths—from skinny lines for detail to fat caps for filling in large areas. Don't worry, we'll explain how it all works so you can use the professional tools like a pro!

What happens if it rains on the day?

While we hope for sunshine, we always have a plan B! We have access to various indoor locations or sheltered outdoor spots in the Grevenmacher area to ensure the workshop can go ahead regardless of the weather. If there is a severe storm, we will work with you to reschedule or find an alternative solution. We have enough backup artists and flexible locations to ensure your holiday plans aren't ruined.

Do we get to keep the artwork we create?

Yes! One of the best parts of our holiday workshops is that you get to keep what you create. If we are working on individual canvases or boards, you can take them home as soon as they are dry (which is very fast). If we are working on a communal wall, we always take high-quality photos and videos of the final masterpiece so you can share your work on social media and keep the memory forever.

True Creative Freedom: There are no mistakes in graffiti, only 're-designs'! It's a great way for kids to express themselves without pressure. 🌈
Learn from the Pros: Our instructors are real-deal street artists who live and breathe this culture.
Boost Confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art come together gives participants a massive sense of achievement. 💪
Everything is Provided: You don't need to bring a thing—we supply all the gear, paint, and protection.
Unique Memories: Forget the cinema or the playground; this is an experience they will be talking about for years. 🎉
Safe & Professional: We balance the "rebel" spirit of graffiti with total professionalism and safety.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a warm welcome and a quick safety briefing. Everyone gets fitted with their protective suits, masks, and gloves. ✨
The Basics: Our professional artist demonstrates how to hold the can, control the pressure, and use different nozzles for various effects.
Sketching the Idea: Participants brainstorm their designs. Whether it's a name, a character, or a message, we help you get the concept onto paper first. 📝
Practice Rounds: Before hitting the final wall or canvas, everyone gets to practice their lines and 'tags' on a dedicated practice surface.
Filling & Fading: Learn the professional techniques for 'filling in' letters and creating smooth colour gradients and fades. 🔥
The Outline: This is where the magic happens! We show you how to add a sharp outline to make your artwork pop and look professional.
Detailing & 3D: Add highlights, shadows, and 3D effects to give your graffiti depth and character. 🎨
Group Masterpiece: Work together on a final big project or put the finishing touches on your individual masterpiece.
Photo Op & Clean Up: We wrap up with a photoshoot of your amazing work and ensure everyone is cleaned up and ready to show off their art! 📸

Local culture

Grevenmacher isn't just about beautiful vineyards and the butterfly garden; it's a town with a growing appreciation for modern culture! While the town is famous for its historic streets and the scenic Moselle river, adding a splash of urban street art brings a fresh, contemporary vibe to this Luxembourgish gem. We love bringing our workshops to this area because the contrast between the traditional wine-making heritage and the vibrant energy of graffiti is truly unique. ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Grevenmacher is one of the oldest towns in Luxembourg? While it’s steeped in history, its youth scene is incredibly active, making it the perfect spot for a modern art explosion. Whether we are setting up near the riverfront or at a local community space, the atmosphere in Grevenmacher always inspires great art! 🍷
