Is it safe for primary school children to use spray paint?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including overall suits, gloves, and specialised masks designed for spray painting. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or large indoor spaces. Our professional artists are trained to supervise children closely, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly and safely while having the time of their lives.

What should the students wear on the day?

We suggest that children wear old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Even though we provide full-body protective suits and gloves, kids are naturally enthusiastic, and a stray splash of paint can sometimes find its way onto shoes or sleeves. It's all part of the authentic artist experience! Dress for a mess and you'll have more fun.

Where in Grevenmacher does the workshop take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop right at your school in Grevenmacher if you have a suitable outdoor space or a very well-ventilated hall. Alternatively, we can help arrange a professional street art location nearby to give the kids a real 'urban' experience. Just let us know your preference, and we will handle the logistical planning to make it happen.

Do the children need to have any prior artistic skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from those who have never held a crayon to the class Picassos. We start with the absolute basics, like how to hold the can and control the pressure. Our instructors guide the children step-by-step, ensuring every child creates something they are genuinely proud of by the end of the session.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard primary school workshop usually lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This includes the safety briefing, the technique demonstration, individual practice time, and the final creation of their masterpiece. We can adjust the timing to fit into your school’s timetable or specific event schedule, ensuring a seamless flow for your teachers and students.

Do the kids get to keep their artwork?

Yes, they can! Depending on the workshop format you choose, students can either create a large collaborative mural for the school walls or work on individual canvases. If they work on canvases, they get to take their personal piece of street art home the same day. It makes for a fantastic souvenir and a great way to remember their creative journey.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We usually require a minimum group size of 10 students to make the workshop viable, but we can accommodate very large groups of 100+ by bringing in multiple professional artists. We maintain a high artist-to-student ratio to ensure every child gets the attention and guidance they need. For school-wide events, we can run sessions in rotation throughout the day.

Teamwork in Action: Collaborative murals teach students how to work together toward a shared creative goal. 🤝
Completely Stress-Free: We bring everything, set it all up, and handle the cleanup. Teachers, you can just enjoy the show!
Safety is Standard: We use low-odour paints and full protective gear for every single student.

Looking for other events? We also do kids parties, festivals, and company events!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: Our professional artists introduce the history of street art and show some cool examples to get the kids' imaginations firing.
Safety first: Every student gets geared up in protective suits, gloves, and masks. We explain the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely. 🧤
The blank canvas: We prepare the workspace, whether it’s individual canvases for each child or a large communal 'masterpiece' wall.
Basic techniques: Kids learn the fundamentals, from making thin lines and fat bubbles to 'fading' colours and create cool gradients. 🎨
Sketching the design: Before spraying, we help the students sketch out their ideas or the chosen class theme with chalk or light markers.
Adding colour: This is the best part! Under our guidance, the children fill in their designs using a vibrant palette of professional spray paints.
Outline & highlights: We show them how to add those final 'pops'—strong outlines and white highlights that make their graffiti look 3D.
The grand reveal: We take a group photo with the finished artwork. It’s a proud moment for every budding artist in the class! 📸
Clean up: We handle the tidy-up, leaving the site exactly as we found it, but with much more inspired students.

Local culture

Grevenmacher isn't just about beautiful vineyards and the Moselle river; it's a town with a growing appreciation for modern culture! While the town is famous for its Quetschefest and the butterfly garden, we love bringing a bit of 'urban jungle' vibes to this scenic location. Our workshops fit perfectly with the creative spirit of Luxembourg's east, offering students a chance to break away from traditional mediums and embrace something bold and contemporary. 🦋

Fun Fact: Did you know that Grevenmacher is home to the only butterfly garden in the Grand Duchy? We often see students drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours of the butterflies when they are picking out their spray paint palettes!

Beyond Grevenmacher, we also bring our colourful energy to Luxembourg City, Esch-sur-Alzette, Differdange, and Dudelange.
