Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely no prior art experience is needed! Our workshops in Grevenmacher are designed for complete beginners and seasoned pros alike. Our expert artists break down the process into easy, manageable steps, from handling the spray can to layering colours. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can create something that looks professional. We’re here to guide you, not judge you!

Is the graffiti workshop safe?

We take safety seriously. We provide all participants with high-quality FFP2 masks, protective gloves, and disposable overalls to keep your clothes clean. The workshop begins with a full safety briefing on how to use the spray cans properly. Because we work in well-ventilated or outdoor areas, you can enjoy the creative process with total peace of mind. Your well-being is our top priority while you paint.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard cultural workshop usually lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This timeframe provides the perfect balance: plenty of time to learn the fundamental techniques and enough time to complete a full piece of art without feeling rushed. If you have a specific schedule for your event in Grevenmacher, we can often adjust the duration to fit your itinerary perfectly.

What do we actually paint on?

For our cultural events, we typically use professional-grade large canvases or dedicated wooden panels. This ensures that the event is legal and respectful of Grevenmacher’s local architecture. The best part? You can often keep the final artwork to display at your venue or office! We can also discuss options for temporary 'graffiti walls' if you're looking for a larger-than-life mural experience.

What should I wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of 'character' on. While we provide full protective gear—including suits and gloves—spray paint can be unpredictable, and it's best to be safe. Avoid your brand-new designer trainers just in case! Once you're suited up, you'll be ready to dive into the world of street art without worrying about your outfit.

What happens if the weather is bad or I need to cancel?

We understand that plans can change. One of the reasons people love booking with Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require upfront payments; you simply pay after the workshop is completed. Additionally, we have a network of backup artists available, so even if an instructor falls ill, your event in Grevenmacher will still go ahead as planned. We value your trust and your time!

Unleash hidden creativity: Break free from the 'I can't draw' mindset with techniques that anyone can master in minutes. 🎨
Foster community spirit: Nothing brings a group together like collaborating on a large-scale mural or cheering each other on. 🤝
Professional guidance: Learn from actual street artists who live and breathe this culture every day.
Stress-free planning: With no upfront payment and guaranteed backup artists, we take the worry out of event organising. ✅
Total flexibility: We bring the workshop to you, whether it's a park, a car park, or a community centre.
Tangible results: Walk away with a physical piece of art and memories that will last a lifetime. 🏆

Step by step

Intro and safety briefing: We kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick safety chat. You'll get your gear and learn the 'golden rules' of handling spray cans.
Design brainstorming: Our artists help you sketch out a concept. Whether it's a word, a logo, or an abstract pattern, we'll help you find a vision that fits the event.
Can control basics: Practice making dots, thin lines, and thick flares. Getting a feel for the pressure and distance is key to mastering the spray.
Outlining the piece: Time to hit the canvas! You'll start by sketching the skeleton of your design using light colours.
Filling in: Here’s where the magic happens. We’ll show you how to apply solid colours and create smooth gradients or 'fades' between different shades.
The 'cut-back' technique: Learn how to sharpen your edges and fix mistakes like a pro. Graffiti is very forgiving!
Final highlights and 3D: Add those professional touches like white highlights and drop shadows to make your work pop off the surface.
Group gallery view: We finish by stepping back to admire the collective work. It’s the perfect time for photos and high-fives!

Local culture

Grevenmacher, famously known as the 'Metropolis of the Moselle,' is a town where tradition meets modern flair. While famous for its stunning vineyards and the Butterfly Garden, there is a growing appreciation for contemporary urban expression. Bringing a graffiti workshop to Grevenmacher adds a fresh, modern layer to the town's rich cultural tapestry. Imagine creating street art with the scenic backdrop of the river and the historic town centre—it’s a juxtaposition that truly inspires creativity! ✨

Fun Fact: Did you know Grevenmacher hosts the famous Fête des Vins et du Raisin? Our workshops are the perfect modern accompaniment to the town's legendary festival spirit, proving that wine and street art both require a fine eye for detail! 🍷🎨

We love working in this region because of the open-minded community and the beautiful light reflecting off the Moselle, which makes every spray-painted canvas look even more spectacular. Whether you are in the town centre or the surrounding hills, we bring the vibe to you.
