Step by step

  1. Intro and safety: We start with a high-energy intro to street art history and a vital safety briefing regarding gear and paint usage.
  2. The 'Tag' creation: Every student learns to design their own unique tag on paper, focusing on letter structure and personal style.
  3. First lines: Moving to the wall or canvas, students learn how to hold the can and create their first 'thin' and 'fat' lines.
  4. Colour blending: Our artists demonstrate how to fade and blend colours together to create that classic professional graffiti look.
  5. Outline and 3D: We guide the students through adding 3D effects and sharp outlines to make their pieces pop off the surface.
  6. The final piece: Students work together on a large collaborative mural or finish their individual masterpieces with highlights and details.
  7. Photo op and cleanup: We wrap up with a group photo in front of the art and ensure the site is left spotless and tidy.

We don't just paint; we connect the dots between Melbourne’s history and the kids' own creative future.
