How long does a live painting session usually take?

Our live painting performances in Melbourne usually last between 2 and 5 hours, but we can adapt to your event's specific schedule. Whether it's a quick high-energy set for a product launch or a steady creation throughout a full-day festival, our artists manage their pace to ensure the final reveal happens exactly when you want it to for maximum impact.

Is it messy? Will the venue be protected?

Don't sweat the mess! We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and high-quality acrylics depending on the venue. Our team provides complete floor and wall protection (drop cloths and masking) to ensure the only place paint ends up is on the canvas. We've performed in high-end Melbourne galleries and corporate offices without leaving a single stray speck behind.

Can we choose what the artist paints?

Absolutely! While our artists have their own unique steez, we love collaborating. We can incorporate your company colours, logos, or specific themes into the piece. Many Melbourne brands use this to create a 'social media moment' where the brand identity is built right before the audience's eyes. Just let us know your vision during the booking process and we'll make it happen.

What equipment do I need to provide?

For most live painting sessions, we provide everything needed: the artist, paints, drop cloths, and the 'canvas' (which could be a massive board, a wall, or even a vehicle). If you have a specific surface you want painted, we just need to know in advance so we can prep it correctly. We bring the vibe and the gear, you just provide the space!

How much space do you need at the event?

We recommend a minimum space of about 3x3 metres to give the artist room to move and keep a safe distance from your guests. Depending on the size of the mural, we might need a bit more height. If your Melbourne event is indoors, we ensure there is adequate ventilation, though we often use water-based paints for indoor gigs to keep things fresh.

What happens if it rains during an outdoor event?

Melbourne weather can be a bit 'four seasons in one day', right? If your event is outdoors, we usually require a marquee or some form of overhead cover to protect the artwork and the artist from rain or direct, intense sun. If the weather turns truly nasty, we can usually pivot to an indoor setup if the venue allows.

Who keeps the artwork after the performance?

The artwork is yours to keep! After the event, you have a unique, custom-made piece of Melbourne street art. Many of our clients hang the finished canvas in their office lobby, auction it off for charity, or gift it to a lucky attendee. We can even help arrange transport for the finished piece if it’s a particularly large-scale commission.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Melbourne is the undisputed street art capital of Australia. From the iconic cobblestones of Hosier Lane to the hidden gems of AC/DC Lane, the city's identity is spray-painted into its very walls. Our artists are deeply embedded in this local scene, bringing that authentic Melbourne 'laneway' aesthetic to every performance. We don't just paint; we channel the creative grit and colourful spirit that makes this city world-famous.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Melbourne's street art is so highly regarded that even the legendary Banksy has left his mark on our walls? Our local performers carry on that high-calibre tradition at every gig! 🎨
