Is live graffiti painting messy or smelly for indoor events?

Absolutely! Our Canberra live painting performances are designed to be high-impact yet incredibly clean. We use low-odour professional spray paints or high-end acrylic markers depending on your venue's ventilation. We also provide heavy-duty floor protection and screening to ensure the only thing getting painted is the canvas. Whether it’s an indoor gala at a National Circuit venue or an outdoor street festival, we’ve got the technical setup covered.

How far in advance do I need to book an artist in Canberra?

Planning ahead is great, but we know things move fast in the events world! Generally, we recommend booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred artist. However, thanks to our large network of professional street artists across Australia, we can often accommodate last-minute requests. If your event is just around the corner, give us a shout and we’ll check our artist availability immediately.

Can we choose what the artist paints or include our logo?

The beauty of live painting is that it’s completely bespoke. Before the event, we’ll chat about your brand, theme, or specific colour palette. You can provide logos or reference images, and our artist will incorporate them into the design while maintaining that authentic street art soul. It’s a collaborative process that ensures the final masterpiece aligns perfectly with your event goals and brand identity.

How long does a live painting session usually take?

Most live painting performances last between 2 and 4 hours, which is the 'sweet spot' for keeping guests engaged from the first outline to the final highlight. The artist works at a pace that allows people to wander back and forth, seeing the progress each time. If you have a longer conference or a short, high-energy launch, we can adjust the speed and scale accordingly.

What happens to the artwork after the event ends?

Once the paint is dry, the artwork is yours to keep! It’s a fantastic way to get a permanent memento of your Canberra event. Many of our clients hang the finished canvases in their offices, auction them off for charity, or give them away as a grand prize. We wrap the artwork safely at the end of the session so you can transport it easily.

How much does a live painting performance cost in Canberra?

Pricing in Canberra typically ranges from $40 to $90 per person for interactive setups, or a flat artist fee for pure performances. The total cost depends on the duration, the size of the canvas or wall, and the materials required. We believe in transparency and 'no surprises,' which is why we offer a quick cost calculator and custom quotes to fit your specific budget and event scale.

The experience

Why choose a live painting performance for your Canberra occasion? It’s the ultimate way to bridge the gap between "just another meeting" and an unforgettable experience. Here’s why it works:

Instant atmosphere: The rhythmic sound of the spray cans and the vibrant colours create an immediate buzz in the room. 🔥
Social media gold: Guests can't resist taking time-lapse videos and photos of the progress—huge for organic event reach! 📸
Brand storytelling: We weave your company’s values or logos directly into the art in a way that feels cool, not corporate. ✨
Local pro talent: We work with the best artists in the ACT who know how to engage a crowd and deliver top-tier results. 🏆
Zero risk: With our pay-after-service model and backup artist guarantee, your event entertainment is in safe hands. 💪

Step by step

Initial concept chat: Reach out to us with your event date and vision. We’ll discuss the vibe you’re going for and how live art fits in.
Custom design proposal: Our artists sketch a concept that incorporates your brand colours, themes, or specific Canberra landmarks.
Logistics check: We coordinate with your venue regarding floor protection, ventilation, and the best spot for maximum guest visibility.
Mobile studio setup: On the day, we arrive early to set up our canvases, drop sheets, and organized spray paint array.
The first stroke: As guests arrive, the artist begins the 'blackbook' outlines, creating immediate intrigue and a focal point for the room.
Layering and colour: Over the next few hours, the piece comes to life with vibrant layers, 3D effects, and intricate details.
Guest interaction: Our artists love a yarn! They'll chat with guests about the techniques and the inspiration behind the piece.
Final reveal: The artist adds the finishing touches and highlights, resulting in a completed masterpiece by the end of your event.
Handover: We pack up the gear, clean the area, and hand over the fresh artwork for you to display or gift.

Local culture

Canberra’s street art scene has exploded far beyond the secret tunnels and hidden underpasses. From the iconic murals in Braddon to the legal walls in Woden and Tuggeranong, the 'Bush Capital' is secretly a canvas for some of Australia's best writers. We tap into this local creative energy, bringing that authentic ACT street culture to your private event. We love the contrast between Canberra's polished architecture and the gritty, colourful life of live graffiti.

Fun Fact: Did you know Canberra is home to some of the longest-running legal graffiti sites in Australia? This has fostered a unique, high-skill community of artists that we are proud to work with!
