Can you perform live painting at smaller indoor venues in Brisbane?

Absolutely! While we love creating large-scale murals, our live painting performances are fully customisable. Whether you have a small booth at a trade show or a massive outdoor stage, we can adapt the canvas size and the style of the artwork to suit your Brisbane venue perfectly. We just need a clear space to work our magic.

Does the spray paint smell or create a mess during the event?

We use high-quality, low-odour professional spray paint and acrylic markers whenever possible for indoor events. We also set up protective floor coverings and ventilation screens if needed. Safety is our top priority, and we ensure the experience is fun without leaving any mess or fumes that would bother your guests. It is all about the art!

How long does it take for the artist to finish a live piece?

The beauty of live painting is the 'reveal.' Depending on your schedule, a performance usually takes between 2 to 4 hours. We can time the finishing touches to coincide with your keynote speaker or the peak of your party, ensuring a high-energy finale that leaves everyone buzzing. We work around your event timeline seamlessly.

What happens to the artwork once the event is finished?

Most of our clients love to keep the finished product! It makes for a fantastic piece of office decor or a unique prize for a giveaway. If you don't want to keep it, just let us know beforehand and we can arrange for the removal and recycling of the materials. Most people in Brissy choose to hang it up!

Do I need to provide the design for the artist beforehand?

Not at all! You can provide a specific theme, logos, or brand colours you want us to incorporate, or you can give our artists total creative freedom. We usually chat with you before the event to get a feel for the 'vibe' and make sure the final piece aligns with your vision and Brisbane's local style.

Do I need to pay a deposit or pay upfront for the booking?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is our flexibility. We don't require upfront payments to secure your booking. You can pay after the workshop or performance is completed. This keeps the process stress-free and built on trust. We are confident you will love the energy we bring to your Brisbane gathering!

The experience

Why settle for a DJ or a standard presentation when you can have a living, breathing work of art created in the middle of your party? Live painting is the ultimate ice-breaker and branding tool. Here is why it works so well in Brisbane:

Unbeatable Engagement: People can't help but stop and watch the transformation of a blank space into a masterpiece. ✨
Brand Integration: We can weave your logos, tagline, or company colours naturally into the urban art style.
Social Media Fire: It is highly "Instagrammable"—expect your guests to be filming and sharing the progress all night long! 🔥
Unique Souvenir: You get a custom piece of art at the end of the night to hang in your office or studio.
Versatile Vibe: We can go from "gritty underground" to "clean and corporate" depending on your brand's voice.
Zero Risk: No upfront payment and a professional team that knows how to handle a crowd. 💪

Step by step

Initial creative chat: We start by discussing your Brisbane event's theme, goals, and the vibe you want to achieve.
Design conceptualisation: Our artists draft a rough concept that incorporates your branding, colours, or specific imagery.
Setup and protection: On the day, we arrive early to set up floor protection, easels, or custom boards and ensure the area is safe.
The first stroke: As your guests arrive, our artist begins the piece, immediately drawing interest and curious onlookers.
Live progression: The artwork evolves in real-time. Guests can watch the layering process and chat with the artist about their techniques.
Interactive elements: If desired, we can invite guests to add a small 'tag' or spray a line, making them part of the creation.
The grand reveal: We time the completion of the masterpiece for your event's climax, providing a perfect photo opportunity.
Drying and finishing: We apply a quick-dry finish so the artwork is ready to be moved or displayed shortly after the session.
Pack down: We leave the venue exactly as we found it, taking all materials and leaving you with a stunning new piece of art.

We pride ourselves on being professional, punctual, and safe. Here is what you can expect when you book a live painting session with Graffitifun in Brisbane:

Local culture

Brisbane’s street art scene has exploded over the last decade, transitioning from hidden laneway gems to massive murals that define the city's skyline. From the iconic Pillars Project at South Brisbane to the vibrant walls of West End, the "Brissy" aesthetic is bold, tropical, and endlessly creative. Our artists are deeply embedded in this local culture, bringing that authentic Sunshine State flair to every performance.

Fun Fact: Brisbane is home to some of Australia's largest legal street art walls, and the annual Brisbane Street Art Festival (BSAF) has turned the entire city into a living gallery!

When we perform live in Brisbane, we don't just paint—we channel the city's unique energy, making sure your event feels like a true part of the local creative landscape. 🎉
