The experience
Why choose a Graffitifun session for your Brisbane primary school? It's more than just a painting lesson—it's an unforgettable school event that hits all the right creative notes! 🎤
- Boosts confidence: Seeing a giant piece of art come to life by their own hand gives kids a massive sense of achievement.
- Teamwork in action: Students have to work together to plan and execute a giant mural, fostering real collaboration. 🤝
- Expression without limits: Street art allows kids who might struggle with fine-line drawing to express themselves through bold colours and big movements.
- Safe social environment: We create a space where it's okay to experiment, make mistakes, and learn in a supportive, fun-filled atmosphere.
- Curriculum aligned: Our workshops can easily be linked to Visual Arts, Design, and even HASS curriculum outcomes. 🏆
- Zero stress for teachers: We bring everything, manage the group, and leave your school as clean as we found it.

Step by step
- Intro and safety: We start with a high-energy intro about street art culture and a vital safety briefing including mask and glove fitting.
- Technique demo: Our pro artists show the kids how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create different line widths.
- The practice run: Students get a feel for the cans by practice-spraying shapes and lines on our temporary walls.
- Design planning: Together with the students, we sketch out a large-scale design or 'mural' that reflects the school's values or a chosen theme.
- Filling and fading: The kids get to work filling in the letters and learning how to blend colours like real Brisbane pro artists.
- Outlining: Our instructors help students add the sharp outlines that make the graffiti 'pop' off the wall.
- Adding the details: We teach the students how to add highlight 'shines', bubbles, and cool background effects.
- The big reveal: We take a step back to admire the finished masterpiece and snap some epic group photos of the crew!
